That was an advertisement, not an experiment. In regards to the two brands, I've used both and the GH 3-part out yielded AN's Connoisseur at about half the cost. A lot of the 3 parts on the market are just copying GH's formula so if you're looking at 3 part formulas, I'd go with the originator. I've also heard good things about FloraNova but I have no idea what it costs, nor have I actually used it.I saw a couple videos on youtube showing experiments they did and how advanced nutrients came first in yield and thc content, was curious from your guys personal experience.
I kind of figured that when they showed advanced, i'll stick with the 3 part GH then since it's cheap and simple. I was easily fooled by all the advertising, thanks for the helpThat was an advertisement, not an experiment. Yes! I love it when I see folks do side by side comparisons. Definitely the way to find out if a nutrient works better for you or not.I found AN Sensi PH perfect pretty close in cost to GH 3-part but have had better results with AN (yield, overall health of plant) . I got Sensi for 14$ liter ($57 a gallon) 70$/gal is normal though with free shipping.
I feed at 12ml/gal (unless I use sups, then I adjust down as required to maintain 1.8 EC) That will feed 333 gallons = 17c /gal. @57$/gal or 21c/gal @ $70/gal.
GH, using Lucas (24ml product/gal) @ 100$ for 3 gallons delivered yields 500 gallons, or .20c/gal @100/3 gals.
So, we are talking 1 or 2 cent/gal difference either way between the two depending on where and how much you buy. BUT, with AN you get fulvics, all chelated macro/micro nutes, amino acids and a surfacant and no worry about your PH. GH is basic and I can tell you the taste and burn of AN is far superior. You are talking a several hundred dollar plant so do you really want to nit pick over a couple dollar difference in cost? The sure fire way is to buy both in small quantities and test them yourself. You be the judge.
