Hey,
So Ive lived in Kenya(beauty at its purest), Germany, USA, Costa Rica, England, China and Singapore. And have backpacked everywhere in between. Any other backpackers out there? I know there has to be a few.
If you haven't traveled and have the opportunity do it. Its an eye opening experience where you get to see incredible things. Its expensive but worth it. Its worth the pasta dinners.
Look at couchsurfing.org free places to stay across the world. Not sketchy at all. I'm a middle aged business man and I still do it for my one of month holiday and host guest often. The hosts give you a local perspective of the community which is fantastic.
Coolest experience, besides meeting my wife 30 years ago while biking across the UK, would have to be when I taught English in a Buddhist monnestary for 3 months right after college. Anyone else backpack?
