start going with a walking stick, poking the ground in front of you while walking never hurt anyone, rattlesnakes on the other hand.....yeah lol

Definitley a natural way to keep rippers away lol

I had one in my backyard last year that we caught, and called animal control to come get (alive), and about 2 months ago I was walking around my garden and almost stepped on a baby rattler...Sprayed it with water instead (i don't know why I did this...lol), and went to get a shovel to catch or kill it(was still undecided), and just when I approached it for like the third time, it slithered off...I live on the border of a state park, so it just comes with the territory.

He was. Seen him in the same spot for the last couple of years now. At least I think it's the same one. :joint: The Mojave's are the really pissed of ones and they pack a huge punch.

My dad cooked one and 'Had' us all taste it when I was a kid, cross between trout and chicken.
I like them dead...preferably.

I live in so cal and my spot is in a like rocky mountainous area I've seen some pretty big ones they usally warn me with their rattles but this last time it didn't. It kinda sucks tho cause sometimes they will be right in my trail and I have no way around them I smash a few of them with rocks but I don't wanna always be worrying about these damn snakes every time I go water my plants but whatever gotta deal with it n once the crops done go backto indoors for the winter

I was quail hunting a few years ago & heard a 'thump' right behind me like someone had thrown something & it landed right behind me. I looked over my shoulder to see a large rattler re-coiling, it had missed me!

I had a 12ga in my hands!

peace

if you dont bother them they wont bother you,and not all rattle snakes rattle anymore due to the fact that most of the time when they rattle something gets hurled at them so they keep quiet and most of the time are not even seen
