Well, hello Rollitup members, welcome to our Medicinal indoor grow journal.
Feel free to pull up a spot, and hang with us as we watch our next round of girls flower into wonderful medicine.
Everything is the same as our last grow, Still using the same space, with the same amount of light. Currently most of our girls are about 18 inches tall (which was last round's harvest height) And we're projecting them to be about 24-30 inches tall at the end of the cycle.
We're also testing out a different set of nutrients, Hydroponix X-Nutrients. We've been pleased with the results thus far. After feeeding the smaller girls, we noticed about 2 inches of growth from our 3rd round Afghooey in a matter of about 3-4 days. And the good thing is that it's fairly cheap, about half the cost of the big name brands.
The dirt this time around is Dr Earth's Medicinal POTting Soil. It's not advertised on their site, but a lot of the smaller nurseries carry it (or, at least the hip ones do).
This time we have Afghooey, Matanuska Thunderfuck, Cali Orange, Orange Bud, Purple #1, New York City Diesel, and Brains Escape. We're running a few of the same strains again, but we're going to be dropping Cali Orange and one of the Afghooey's in the next round to let in some new genetics.
We're also modifying tomato cages to scrog a few plants. Should be an interesting method, and with the way we have to move everything in and out to water, it's the only way to make a scrog feasible . The first picture in this post has examples of it, but we basically took off the top ring and the wires leading up so we could tie some netting to it. The one on the left is Purple #1 (which we've already turned into a small scrog by weaving her branches in and out of each other) and the one on the right is Brains Escape. I plan on adding 2 more (all we can fit) to the taller plants.
Here's a view of the top from left to right
And here are some shots from our veg box
Looking in -
In that shot, we have 2 bagseed, NYCD, Matanuska Thunderfuck, and Burmese Kush
Here's the Afghooey we were talking about with the quick growth
She shot up so fast, I decided it was a good time to pull her down and start turning her into a shrub
Here's the BuKu. This picture, and the next are just for you, Jin!
Here's her underside
This is local bagseed, a strain called Johnny. We got ahold of this one a few times, and man was it some good smoke! We were super happy to find a seed in our bag one time
And here's another one we popped - Iced Grapefruit.
Well, that's all for now folks. I'll try to get some good individual shots the next time everyone's out for water.
