Nice. I got a fridge stereo TV/cable and a Ham radio I been messing with. Not to mention a captians chair and nice bed.
Daylight is sure nice to see when garden plants all nights.
I had on attempt in 2009. Nothing last year and nothing this year so far. I got it alarmed pretty good. I can see a fence jumper getting a few branches and running.
In my setup I can only be alerted with driveway alerts when a ripper is already inside my yard. So I only know once they are back there. I have no way to alarm the front and sides.
Sometimes I get false alerts from the driveway alerts. (moths or wind) The way I combat this is have lots of alerts thru out your grow in the same area and different channels. If multible alerts go off at the same time. You can bet your ass a rippers is in my yard. If a single one goes off it may be the wind. Before I used this method I did not know if it was wind or ripper. I would have to patrol my fence line looking for holes. Also under my trees next to my grow I have barb wire running thru them in most likly spots. Along with junk piled under them. My dogs will hear that stuff for sure. I also leave recievers outside. I want to scare them off before they can rip a plant out. So I keep two recievers with me. And a few to chime so the ripper can hear. I would rather just scare them off than confront them. Also if I am in my basement like right now. And the recieavers go off. it will take me 30 secounds or so to get outside. A ripper can do damage in that time. By having a few outside I am sure they would be gone as soon as they heard it. I am not the fighting type. But I can swing a bat pretty dam good.
My Jack Russel Terrior hates those little cat bells. She thinks they are the neighbors cats that have bells on there collers. So I hang those little bells on the bob wire inside my tree/fence line. If she hears those bells it's freak out time. I have a Lab and a Min Pin. I pay no attension to them. If my Jack is alerted then I know whats up. Love the JRT. Shes my working dog for sure. After every harvest I get them a pot roast. Thats there harvest.
I also bring in a yard of fresh cow manure. I put a hge pile in my veggie garden. Then leave the rest in a trailor in front of my van. My yards smells like a texas stalk yard. I also give some to my nighbors. I just tell them I bought to much. Trying to stop people from walking by my house smelling my grow.
My dad always said watched to the fat guy. He will do the job in the most easy way.
