First Grow...yellow spots, righthand-turn leaves

First time grow...600hps, 4x4 grow tent, manna mix (part-soil, part coir), 24 days from clone

One, then two of my girls looks like the photo's below. first small yellow spots, then leaves turn sideways...not upside down, no fringe curl, just straight then right (or left). It almost looks like a little pinch or scarring around which the leaf grows. Old leaves and new.

I checked thoroughly for bugs at 100x...none.

temps are a little high: 77-80 depending. I would welcome any tips for dropping temp. I have three small fans inside (should they blow at the light?) and one big oscillating fan blowing on the tent itself.

I do not mist...though I'm not exactly sure why I would. I did mist when they were teeny babies in a dome but not since root growth. Rel. hum. between 25-35%. I do mist a pest preventative about once a week to 10 days.

Also using Pura Vida Grow and a cal-mag supplement, water ph 6.

there are a lot of factors to take into consideration before you can say it is definatly too much N (Nitrogen).Your temps. are fine.You are growing in soil,as long as soil has good drainage and is airy(they go hand in hand)the temps wont be a problem till the upper 80s.What is your soil PH?what is the PH of your nutrient solution?How much nutrients are you trying to feed it?
IMO it looks like a Ph issue only because the lower leaves are the ones turning yellow,indicating a problem in the root system.If it was too much N (Nitrogen)the new growth would be a dark green.Its not that dark and the leaves are very twisted.In my experience when the leaves twist like that with yellowing undergrowth and no really dark green color to new growth ,It tends to be a PH problem
Soil PH should be between 6.5 & 7
Nutrient PH should be between 6.2 - 6.5

To answer the question about the lights and fan situation,from what i gather you have a couple of fans blowing inside the tent, and none of them sucking any heat out of your tent.I grow in a 4x4 tent with a 600 w HPS.The outside of the tent is 76 degrees all the time and without a fan to suck the heat out of the room and off the light my temps get to the lower 90s.I have a carbon filter hooked to my HPS light hooked to a 440 cfm inline fan into my attic and my temps get to about 80 degrees with a nice little breaze across my plants caused from the negative air pressure made by an over sized fan for the square footage i have to exhaust.Though i dont think it is contributing to your current problem too much heat will effect rate of growth and overall yield.and a fan blowing on the outside of the tent does nothing but waste electric.
Keep the room the tent is in cool and exhaust the heat out of the grow tent and out of the room and youll be set on temps

dowd1- I have a 400 cfm carbon filter with a 320 6 inch in-line exhaust fan exiting the tent (and then the house through a dryer vent). I move more air out than I can get in (negative pressure). I was told at the hydro store that keeping the surface area of the tent cool (outside fan) will help lower the inside temp by venting off whatever heat is being trapped by the tent walls (it has made a difference for sure).

Well that is all fine and dandy but what is the ambient room temp the tent is in?If you want to drop temps the first place to start is by droping the house temp.If the tent is in a room that is 78 degrees with lights off then you would be easily be at 82-85 degrees inside the tent no matter how many fans blow on the outside of the tent.I have a 4x4 tent i grow in and i know 1 oscilating fan blowing on the outside surface of the tent (and a small surface at that,fans dont cover that much surface area)will not effect anything but my electric bill
In hindsight your hydro guy is absolutely correct,but im pretty sure he is talking cooling on a bit larger scale than an oscilating fan blowing on one side of the tent, or he just spouts off whatever the salespeople who sell him supplies tell him.Like i said before your temps are fine and is not contributing to your current problem

I'm a first-time grower. I only have one plant, but she is a doozy! It seems like she's a hybrid according to the high. I aldo made some brownies out of cannabis butter I made for the first time from the bunk leaves and pruning leaves. They rock too. So I'm trying to see if anyone knows how to identify more specfically what she is. I have great soil and climate, and just dump luck to have gotten this great a plant for my first time. Its getting much more potent and I want to know what color it may turn to let me know its good to harvest. I also have too much for just me and want to see about donating.

seems like some sort of sativa, may be wrong, but sativas grow bigger generally than a indica, and that pic shows a big plant. strains are hard to determine based on that pic. even with a ton of pics, it could be a ton of differnet strains. the same strain grown in 2 diff locations can make one turn purple in the north, or dark green in the south.
