There a bunch of new mods theres a thread around called new mods apply here ...Potroast let alot of us reglars on here become mods ..i think its really cool idea alot of use are on hear all the time anyways ...And where just fellow growers who love this site like you and volunteered are time to make this site a better place .....I hope that answers Q freind ..also alot of use are just limted to one or more fourms ..Which i think is smart to distribute the power......

It's very simple to understand.........
The site used to have a few moderators that had the exhaustive task of moderating all of the site.
Now each section has moderators, and they monitor their own section and report bigger things to the head honchos and take care of the micro management of the subforums. It may look like a lot of people, but when you see the number of posts every day here and the amount of subforums it makes very much sense

I dont think there's any validity to the "I've been here longer, therefore I should be a moderator over the other newer person" argument. Either way, the owners of the site havent messed it up since it was started in 2006, and if things get out of control I'm sure they will handle it properly as they always have before. Its more of a persons desire to help keep RIU a fun and safe place for the rest of us and keep the trollers, argumentative people, and name callers out of the site. You can of course, apply to be a moderator, if you think that your 2 years and 8 months qualifies you better than the average moderator.

I would love to be a mod, from the perspective of someone who likes keeping things tidy, categorized and proof-read. But I think I lack the growing experience to hold any authority outside of toke-and-talk. I know alot about marijuana from a botanical and socio-historical sense but I'm sure no one gives a fuck about that.
When my friends ask me a question about weed, I give them the truth and they tell me to stop sounding like an encyclopedia and STFU.
I think Tenner is a lovely candidate, 420 God. Tip Top gives the voice of the UK.
Maybe it's just because I like being here and I miss my mod status on other forums...
