you get one of those big ass pumps then yet verde?
Thanks for the advice.... it puffed up to about 3x it's size with the foodsaver so I thought it was all good... but it still looked bubbly to me after doing 4 runs. How can I test my foodsaver's pressure? It's newer...is it something I can look up on the web? guess that's where I am heading nowlooks like it could have been purged a bit more, just let it dry out for a while
if you used your food saver, i dont think thats enough vacuum. My foodsaver only goes to 17hg..... where we need to exceed 23hg at the minimal to get some serious purging going.... this is why i have a food saver, in addition to a hand pump right now.
my new system will pump to 28hg-29hg, so im excited
Today, in fact .you get one of those big ass pumps then yet verde?

+1, i would be scared to tip it or spill some water and lose a ton of bho.and what are you trying to accomplish with the water? for me it would just add more mess..
He is trying to remove the scraping side of the process. His thinking it would seem is that once it's all evaporated, instead of having a load of gook stuck to the bottom of your pyrex dish (my thinking is freezing makes it brittle and will just chip off easily in chunks) and that if you pour ya stuff into a pan of water once the butane has evaporated, the gook will simply be floating on the surface of the water so can simply be scoped off, as opposed to scraped off the bottom.and what are you trying to accomplish with the water? for me it would just add more mess..
