I noticed 1 of my girls fan leaves were yellowing but figured it was normal for 4 wks flowering.
Checked on her this am and they seem to be yellowing a lil too fast.
What do you guys think? Normal or is she asking for a heavier dose of food? I'm using Dutch Masters Gold, maybe a lil on the conservative side but not by much.

completely normal. some people in here will try to tell you if you give them enough N they wont do that, me personally I disagree, and all the humboldt hippie growers who've been growing since the 70s disagree as well. I mean you think these people haven't given their plants massive amount of N during flower to try this? (just an elaboration to any onlookers that disagree.)

so yeah, all good, all normal.

Aight cool, preciate the response. She was just getting me a lil worried cause at the rate she's going won't b much left when she's done. But then again we don't smoke the fans do we? Lmao
I'm using the DM gold and they've got two feeding dosages. The 1 for hydro is like double what the soil is, that's why i was kinda wondering if maybe i didn't need to step it up a lil.
By the way, got 2 more ladies going pink.lol

i take fdd advice serious, so im very interested in hearing fdd's input on this, because i get yellow leaves every time i get 2 to 3 weeks into flowering..and i'v noticed many many people on here experience the same..........

my yellowing is kinda all over the plant just a yellow leave here or there...its not like covering my plant but like 8 or 9 big fan leaves all up and down my plant yellow..

but i get this every grow..and get to harvest just fine with killer smoke

Ok thanx. The DM has 2 diff dosages on there charts 1 is for soil 1 for hydro and the hydro dosage is double what the soil is. It says use 13ml per gal for soil and i been running 10ml.
Guess maybe that's where my yellow leaves came from.
I know, follow the directions stupid, lol. I just gave them a good flush last night to rule out any salt build up. Would it be ok to go ahead and hit her with some nutes now since the soil is still good and wet? Or should i let it dry out b4 i feed her.
Just wanted to say thanx to all you guys for your responses, I have read most of your sticks and have gained a lot of knowledge and value all of your advice.

i'd let it dry out a little first.

i find smaller doses more often is better then bigger doses here and there. my plants get fed a SMALL amount EVERY watering. ;)

so you're basically saying you NEVER get yellowing leaves in flowering??

I just find that hard to believe.

I fed my plant into a N deficiency with Indo Bat Guano/Worm Casting/Molasses compost tea. I had to dose her with synthetically derived Nitrate to get the bottom fan leaves to green back up (leaf spot disease will attack yellowing leaves quickly). It worked, they "re-greened" but I did lose some to the leaf spot disease before I realized what was happening.

Apparently the high levels of microbes within Molassafied' teas will metabolize the N sources in your soil and create a deficiency.

I grew in a cornfield last year and left go until late october and there wasn't one yellow leaf on the plant, looked just as healthy as they did in july. Was hard for me to cut it.
I assumed it was from my plants leaching off of all the farmers fertilizer. I found it interesting though, because it just wasn't my norm for plants in late flower to look this way.

I think I'll make a rabbit manure compost tea. the ratio of rabbit manuer is estimated at 2.4 - 1.4 -.60
