hi all im about to add my 400 hps to my 600, there both going in coolshades with a 450 cfm ruck fan sucking through them, so my question is will that fan be enough to cool both them lights down? im useing it now to vent the 600 and room conected to a carbon filter and the temps are perfect 77-79, so im guessing by adding the 400 temps might go up to 81 ish? im useing passive intakes. thanks for any help,

im buying the coolshade today for the 400 so answers appreciated a.s.a.p thanks

I use a 660m3/h RVK 150 L1 to cool two 600's and one of them is notably hotter than the other, not by much but a little. The fans definitely keep them cool enough but I wouldnt go any less than that for my two 600's. I hope this helps.

450CFM fan should be enough for both of those lights considering your temps hovering below 80F already. As long as your carbon filter isn't a small one you should be fine :D

I dont have a carbon filter on my air cooled lights. Just a straight intake and I consider it just about adequate but its all down to preference.

hi jon does he vent the room through the light aswell? my room isnt that big really, its in a triangle so aslong as the fan cools the 2 shades there shouldnt be that much heat in the room, there is loads of negative presure with the one light going through carbon filter

carnt rep you need to spread some around first :-?

I use the same 450 cfm to cool two 1000 watt hps and i stay at 80-81 all the time but i use co2 so they like it a little warmer for the excelerated growth. happy farming

It really depends on the temp and humidity of the air you are introducing into the system

I have my 600watt hookep up to a 225 cfm fan with a duct booster, but my intake is a central air port...so im sucking cool air into the hood and using an air conduit to direct the air coming out the exhaust of the hood, toward the glass plate below... My buds can be touching the glass no problem, it stays cool non stop.

So really it depends on how creative you wanna get...if you had a 450CFM tied into the central air then yea id say that is plenty of cooling

Duder I stil lthink your an idiot ^_^

BTW I use a 660 Meters cubed (or a 380 cubic feet a minute fan.)and hour fan and it rocks for two air cooled 600's.
