Are you saying that the entire population of Iran supports slaughtering Jews??
Didn't the population rebel against the Taliban? Is the population of Afghanistan responsible for the governments agenda?
The Palestinians are another story, but then there is a WHOLE history there that we are not taught in school.
Vilifying a people because of what the governments do, or what the fundamentalists do is pretty narrow minded. The same can be said about our religious leaders and our government. Yes, many of our religious leaders are well balanced (sic) and sane. But there are those who are pretty damn far out there!! Sadly, they tend to be the most vocal and in the news.
I am not a Muslim, but I have many friends in Muslim countries (Morocco and Saudi) with whom I'd trust my and my children's life. Read up on Islam. It's like Christianity. They have their extremists just like anyone else. Thats not to say that the majority go along with it. Did the Moral Majority represent the actual majority here? To me, the Moral Majority was neither. But I'm sure that some Muslim over there would paint me with that brush because I'm an American.
