I have a xxxl magnum 6 in air cooled hood
440 cfm inline fan
1000 watt
aircooledhood.jpg <-this is where i am getting cool air frrom, at bottom
aircooledhood2.jpg <- ducting is connected to a 440 cfm on the other side of panda film, sucking air from the hole at the bottom (top picture) through hood and out room.

But my glass is still hot as fuck.
Some one help me fix this please.

i have a 6" air cooled hood and a 600w bulb and my glass gets about 95 degrees, have you measure how hot it actually is? Also are you pulling the air through or pushing it?

Looks like you have alot of ducting...and quite a few bends. Air flow probably isnt as good as it could be. I can put my hand on the glass of my 1000W and leave it there and its barely warm to the touch.

i agree, the less length and bends the better and anywhere you can put hard pipe it will only help you with less restricted airflow.

Is the top of the hood warm/hot? If the top is <90 degrees it's working. The glass will get hot even if it's being cooled, it's a few inches from a light bulb that's a few hundred degrees.

my glass is barely warm, think your ducting run is to log and them bends arnt helping either, try straighting the duct up,

a lot of people put the fans in the room. Minimize any bending. Also, with flex ducting, it is very important to get it tight. If it is very loose then there are massive air flow loss. a lot more then you would think but it seems you are realizing that now. Minimize the overall amount of ducting, tighten everything(stretch it), minimize bending/turning. This will go a long, long way for your setup
