Ok Hi there folks,
This is a small grow for personal use I started mid-way through August.
Come along for the ride bitches, join in or just watch. Any friendly advice is appreciated and just maybe someone will find this interesting, usefull or helpful as I have found so many of you guys to be.
Curently at Day 40 from seed, I'll give you a run down of the story so far. With lots of pictures.
1st Indoor Grow
Ingredients:-
1 second-hand chest of drawers
2m of mylar
1 DWC system
2 x 125w Envirolite CFL's
2 x 120mm ultra silent pc case fans
1 USB powered desk fan
Pack of 5 seeds from the Greenhouse Seed Co.
Some timers, powerboards, cords and an assortment of bits and bobs and shite.
All of this I sourced either online or from the local hardware, hydroponic and one pound stores, with the help of good buddy. Ive lost count but I estimate this all to have cost me somewhere between £150-£200 so far.
So first there was a chest of drawers.
Then this happened.
Now it looks like this.
Look at that tiny wee baby girl!
For the first few weeks I was busy at work, and being a lazy arsehole had been neglecting her. You can see from early on she had developed some burn on the tips of 2 young leaves.
Temps inside at the time were way too high, up around 38C and she was being fed with unbalanced tap water which I have now found to be up around 7 to 7.5
Over the coming days the burn continued to consume leaves and was spreading, she looked increasingly pale and deficient. I installed an extra ventilation fan and an internal fan and balanced the water to 5.5
The sickness continued and im still not sure whether it was the water, the temps, the lights being to close or any other number of environmental factors.
Still very small at this point growth had slowed to practically nothing, I was convinced she was just going to die on me. In a large ditch effort to salvage her I decided to start feeding her despite her tiny size, perhaps I should have done it earlier but I was affraid of nute burn on such a small plant. Haha, is it ironic that she was burning anyway?
So half strength nutes it was, and because Im an impulsive retard I threw the White Rhino and Lemon Skunk into some damp rockwool as a precaution if the Hawaiian Snow bit the dust.
Now at day 40, and much to my suprise the Hawaiian Snow has not only bounced back but she is kicking the fuck off! New growth has shot nearly 3cm in 2 days and all except the worst affected leaves which I trimmed back are now a deep healthy green.
Oh, and those back up seeds I definately thought I would need to replace a dead Hawaiian
Sexy wee thangs!!
The problems I'm now posed with is can I fit all three in my box? and how will the difference in age affect how I should feed them if I do.
Any suggestions??
At this point I will also point out that I dont really have any idea what I'm doing, winging it from guess work and what I've learnt from everyone here at rollitup.
Peace out for now dudes.
