HUGE bag of seeds from the early 90's

What would you do if you found a bag and it had over 300 seeds in it. All nicely tiger striped and apparently very good seeds.

Other than "plant them" what do you do if you come out with something amazing? Just rename it even though it might already be something that is currently out there?

Just curious how you guys would handle that.

you could get some males in there and cross pollinate some strains to make your own killer strain ... if i found a killer strain id clone it and call it whatever i wanted and keep it as a clone only strain :)

i would rename it. you'll never know for sure what strain it is and even if it was a breeder's strain, you can't vouch for how those seeds came to be. are they herm seeds or male to female pollinated? who knows? either way you couldn't put the original breeder's name on it if it's not all their strain anyway.

I'd say the actually likelihood of you coming out with something "amazing" is pretty small.

If your seeds are from the early 90s, then at best you might end up with something that represented the best genetics of the early 90s. . .like Northern lights or a good Skunk strain.

Those are still great strains, but I don't think they are any better (or really any worse, bluntly) than the better commercial strains from today.

You have to figure that if what you have are seeds, they're probably left over from an outdoor grow of some kind, and they're unlikely to be one of these "super strains". Unless your source has been a total weed snob and was only smoking the best of the best of domestic outdoor grows from 20 years ago, the likelihood of you having a bag full of Mexican/schwag seeds is actually pretty high.

Still, unless you intended to sell it, I don't know why you "have" to give the seeds any name at all. If you do have to, just do what everyone else does. . .make something up.

I would name it after that last girl that you had sex with doggy style, then add dog on the end of it.
so if her name was Crystal just call it crystalDog. If her names fucked up like Guptaraj or something with 27 letters....just make up something else. and if u havnt hit a chick from behind.........run into a hole and hide forever.

Plant 5/10 see what you get? Ten totally different plants 10% chance of what? So bag seed would work best noone gets pissed if the get what they think they are getting.
