T5 lights ?

cost more initially than the 2x600 and run way more electricity (10x) if you wanted the same yield as with the 600´s

what is the internal measurements of the tent? i know you say 4' x 8' but if its not a little bigger than you will have a hard time fitting 2 lights lenthwise in the 8' section. or may not even fit 2 lights side by side in the 4' section.

i think i would still go for the 4x8 tent and 1 600w for now and it allows for the 2nd 600w future upgrade.

if the buckets fit in a 4x4 then get that. then if you upgrade you use the 4x4 for veg and get a 4x8 upgrade.

Yes... a bucket is only about a foot in diameter.
so you could fit 9 buckets in a 3x3.

you´d probably want a 600 then at least. (probably gonna need a big ass fan or blower then too)

its like this, with a 600w hps , you can be a semi ok grower and still have enough to smoke yourself retarded.
while with the t5, your skills have to be more top notch (plus you will need alot of t5 to match the yield of 600whps)

the t5 are more quiet system. but require lots more fiddly work to yield anything.

but if you dont need that much smoke or are willing to do a lot of fiddly work (you could get t5´s and use them on shelves, lst or scrog each one)
then t5 would do ya fine.

so how much smoke we talking to get retarded? and would the noise of a fan outweigh all that fiddly work (bending plants everyday to stay in the good light)

electricity? well, to match the hps, youd need to use More electricity with the t5.
unless you were willing to settle for a lesser harvest (With more work, but less noise)

and, if you are a daysmoker that smokes more than a gram a day,you are probably going to buy bigger lamps later.
and if you bought a shitload of t5´s, well you could only use a few of them for veg, dont need that many (specially if you are saving electricity)
so only could sell them for lower price or keep them as spares.

on electricity, hps simply gives you more light for the same buck.
and bigger and thicker buds.

t5 are better, if you have a very low space, cant deal with the heat or noise (my fan for my 600 is like 2-3 computers on (320 cfm))
but in most cases you would probably not be growing as much as you need, unless you get creative (though in all cases that would require more money and electric bill)
or are a very green fingered grower (though i really doubt those that can provide for themselves with t5´s only, have that big of a need for weed)

gets hps. (ease of use, maximum light and they simply flower the best)

exceptions, one guy f.e cfls, why? heat. but he uses more electricity than he did with hps, but its more spread out and easier to deal with (there are plusses to fluo´s)
