Is this a good light for first grow?

No it isnt any good at all,tell your room mate that its beyond being not good enough its completely wrong & wont grow dope.

You can get the perfect light system delievered directly to your home for $150 & have a system that will give you 8 to 12 ounces every harvest.

Just being you asked about that light shows how early you guys are in getting a grow going,thats ok,we have all been there,start researching growing before you buy anything.

You dont have to spend lots of cash to grow enough kick ass dope to supply yourself but keep this in mind,the more you educate yourself about growing the less you spend cause you understand what to buy & why to chose it over something else.

this is a question you could have answered yourself by doing the research. panhead is right, online there are very cheap options to get a grow going. If you want to grow, then you have to invest.

However, if you want to stay on the cheap side, get 2 power strips and a 4 of the biggest cfls you can find at lowes or home depot. everything at lowes (2 strips and 4 bulbs) will run you almost exactly $80.

I tried telling him... He is very stubborn I told him CFLs are the way to go he just thinks if he gets 4 or 5 of them his 4 plants will be nice... Idk I'm going to start my own cfl grow. I don't think his is going to work out with these lights. And it's cold outside and his apt. Is freezing. Good luck to him eyy?
