Its called thinking you can plant a seed and grow some bud without reading.


Tall plants are caused by a couple of culprits

1. Strain
2. Lights too far away.

How close is your 400w?



I have my 600w anywhere from 1"-10" away from my plant tops. I dont allow my plants to exceed 3ft tall and i get buds like this after 8 weeks.

I call bullshit. You can't get buds like that after 8 weeks, unless you're talking about 8 weeks into flowering, or else using a clone.

Okay so today is a few weeks from when we all talked about my 6 ft plant well now its 9 ft+ lmao here are some pictures. I noticed today that there are brown hairs appearing. I found out the other day that I have a apartment inspection on the 19th will be spending the day out side hiden in the woods. if I can get it there lol (9ft). tell me what you all think now.



P.S The lims were really lanky so I tied them up to the main stim with fishing line.

9 ft!? Your white widows aren't exhibiting the correct phenotype - meaning that they don't look like white widows at all, except for how the buds look. It seems to me that you have a sativa dominant strain of MJ, because it is so tall and lanky.
Have you considered that the sunlight you are giving them is not enough light for them? All the pics you've shown us so far have been of your plants in natural weak sunlight.

Something is wrong here.That plant is a stringy ugly sativa. You vegged for too long, what did you veg under? next time use a MH. The only hope its got is outside in the sun.

That sir is an indoor monster, internodes are about 2x what they should be(5-6"), so you definately kept your light too far away a while back, but man look at that hair growth in the last two weeks...if you could get it under control you should have monster buds from that thing, but the farther away from the light they are getting the more fluffy the buds will be

Btw, your buds don't look that big with *only* 8 week flowering. I don't see where you think you can boast about that. 8 weeks of flowering is average, and those are only above average buds... So how am I jealous again??
Oh that's right, I'm not, because your harvest wasn't spectacular.

Keep it under 12/12, make sure no light hits it when its dark time, when the soil is dry on the top give it enough water to make the soil moist....empty any overflow out of the dish. it should be ok outside for a day or two....I notice you have it in front of a window where it gets natural sunlight too....when you move it outside make sure it has shade if its not used to the sun. The buds will take a while to finish cause this is obviously a Sativa. do NOT put it back under 24 hr light or it will stop budding.
Biggest thing to speed it up is to make sure NO light gets on it during its dark cycle. I had a plant that i kept in my window and the street lights were enough to keep it from budding properly.
One she finishes you will be glad you kept her cause she is gonna produce a lot of buds

How much did you harvest on your last indoor grow??????

My harvest was an average 0.53g/w of dried smokeable bud after i removed some to bud rot and all the lower junk for butter. It was my first ever run with full hydro and only using canna products. Couple of teething problems which wont arise during my current grow.

Your plant is taking longer to flower because it is so huge and also because you transplanted it so late. It is flowering though...so dont listen to those tards that are telling you to scrap it. Why would you want to kill a perfectly good female plant? Just next time start flowering when they reach about 12" and transplant at the first sign of sex. Stick with this one and you will be happy with the results.

I have had a few plants like this.... your screwed pretty much. Was this from a feminized seed? (happens alot with them) It's a mutation, there is nothing you did to cause it and nothing that can be done about it. It just happens, the plant will stay pretty much just like that will not develop any actual buds. The small calyx's though will still get you high alot of the times though so its not a total waste, just check the trich's with a scope to tell when ready.

GOOD Growers can SHORTEN Flowering times by providing More light than the plant can absorb, more nutrients than the plant can uptake, more Co2 Thank the plant Needs and enough Oxygen to keep it Alive.

This plant was grown 12/12 From Seed. harvested at 78 Days ( 9 Weeks...) and its NOT Autoflowering. THIS Strain is my own medicinal breed, Turpentine Kush.

No it's not in window seal lol its under 400w hps and on sides if 216w flourcent grow lights and i have 4 20w cfls. should i get another 400 w hps????

it comes down to genetics and dark period now. its White Widow yes? White Widow rip off's are EVERYWHERE where did you buy the seeds? and did they come in a breeder pack?

White widow rip offs, or Inbreeds can do this. i haven't seen it very often, but some of them will stretch and continue to stretch no matter how much light you give them, the Buds will be super airy, and you wont get that much weight off of the plant....

P.S: in the dark room you should net be able to see ANYTHING when the lights are turned off. it should be pitch black.

Again I think its a genetic issue, it's even more likely that because its White Widow as Corbat said its been rip'd off pretty much everywhere and if it was a feminized seed there is even more chance for a genetic mutation. I see nothing with how your doing things in your grow journal that would cause this. Some ambient light making it into the grow area during the dark cycle like under a door or w.e will have no impact either, this has been covered many times in the past on here and I have never had a completely pitch black grow area myself and have encountered no issues.

Hell one of my plants that did this was grown outdoors, it's a genetic issue.. it looked and exhibited the exact same traits as yours.

I'm not sure but yes this is a shit breeder. yes it white widow and no no light gets in at night. It just keeps stretching. by the way its not 6 ft anymore this was posted almost 3 weeks ago its 9 ft now.
