How do i plant a germinated seed if the root popped out the tip of the seed????

Ok, so i had 1 seed that germinated the shoot came out of the pointed tip of the seed well how am i suspost to plant it than??

people say when planting a cannabis seed the pointed tip of seed must be going UP!

well how the fuck am i spost to acheive that if the shoot came out the pointed bit of the seed should i plant it with pointed bit up and shoot up???

or just dont worry about it and plant with root down

just point the root down when you plant it, dont listen to that "tip of the seed going up" bullshit. Point the root downwards, or sideards, or even upwards if you want, either way it will find its way down through gravity, its not like itll grow up out of the soil just because you planted it up.

These are all true. Just plant it.
You might use a pencil point, and make a hole in your growing media, as not to break the root tip while inserting it into the media.

Ok thanks i did plant it with root up before posting this thread but than i dug the seed up and planted with root down but than started this thread just to be sure it has now sprouted into a seedling

when i first started growing i used to plant all my seeds with the root tips pointing up. the the sprout just does a cool kind of flip thing and rights itself. wasnt till i thought about how plants grow for a second to realize it was the other way down. no worries

To be correct on the seed thing. Instructions I have from a breeder is "pointed end up". Myself I just drop the seed however it lands and it works fine. I'm more concerned about breaking the root off messing around with what way the seed goes. Latley I've been just germinating in the soil and covering the top with plastic till it pops.

why does the dumbass seeds taproot try to grow up, and then ultimately grow back down again? Why doesn't it just continue putting its taproot down.

it illustrates what happens if you plant it upside down.
Cannabis is genetically programed to grow that first loop to pull the seed hull off.

You do realise that ylem is a newb and if you search taproot this is the second thread that comes up? that's how I found it anyway. And isn't that what newbs are supposed to do, search old threads to appease the older members of this site? At least frmrboi added something to the conversation...

A) You do realize that the op has not been on this site for 6 months or so. . .
B) And that ylem has been active here for 4 months with over 220 posts - I'm pretty sure he should know how to look at a thread date by now.
C) Frmrboi always has informative input.
D) And other than a bit of whining, you added nothing constructive to the thread yourself.

My input is soak the seed for 24 hrs, sow 1/4" in seedling soil. Heat mat, CFL - *Poof* Seedling.
