Well, you don't want to harvest too early. Even if it is just for personal consumption still... It's would be worth it to wait till they are done.

I like to wait until all Cloudy and maybe 25% amber maybe a little less. I too enjoy the heady high but

usually will take half early then let the rest mature on up then smoke each alone to see if I notice a BIG difference

if so grind a nug of each up and have a nice afternoon.

I like your original question...who matters most?? I grow for ME ME ME!! I grow for my stash first, and everything else second. If I like my smoke, that's good enough for me. If you don't like my smoke, you don't have to smoke it haha. I never grow for money, not to say I don't retrieve my investment back out of it, but I grow for my smoke first, period!
That might sound selfish, but I'm not stingy at all. I give away as much as I smoke, anyday!!
