I was thinking of using aquarium gravel, but maybe I'll get sand instead.how small are the pieces of gravel? If it's too big it might not be very effective at keeping them from tunneling down to the soil. I'm using a few inches of sand to deal with a gnat problem and it seems to be working great.

I bought some and took it back because people told me it fucked up there grow and killed their entire grow and some folk told me it worked really well. Here's the thing I learned about go gnats DO not add it to your reservoir get some instructions on it and use it as a "medium drench"anyone try go-gnats at all? been getting these annoying little flys around my plant as well and was wondering if thats the solution. picked some up at the local hydro store
