I don't know much about agar, except that it's the most highly recommended way to do it. Using an LC would work just fine, and it only takes a few days to get the growth in the LC, and it's much quicker in colonizing the jar since it's already living mycelium and doesn't need to germinate.

The LC is more difficult because it is three dimensional and you can't fix it if it is contaminated, you CAN fix agar. Cut the growing spores out of the agar and transfer to new agar until you don't see any contamination.

Until it's fully colonized. Usually takes like a week-ish,, it depends.

No, you can use like 1-2cc's per jar.

I've got 2 bulk grows and 1 pf tek with 24 jars and I highly doubt I payed much over $89 (including my pressure cooker).

Don't buy any kits unless you just got money like that, and in that case let me build you a kit and ship it to you

I wouldn't do that to you man xD All casing usually consists of is vermiculite, maybe some hpoo if you can get some. If you want some good casing and can't get hpoo then order some. The rye is like $1.50+shipping for like 5 cups, but it will combine shipping since you'll need more. The jars you can get locally (you may can even get the Rye Berries locally).

Sounds about right to me. Just follow the tutorials and you'll be alright.

canndo i dont think spore syringe to agar work as well as dry print pressed to agar, is that how you normally start your agar? as you know i've always thought the agar was a waste of time.. i mean for me.. a few extra weeks and you have an indestructable extremely virile clone via agar, but the lcs have produced so well for me, i never saw the need to take the extra time.. i've seen how even and nice your flushes are but i normally pull something near that with lc clones... my last ventures were experiments with lc's and solely popcorn and popcorn wbs mix(had extra) I was pretty happy with the results.

to who ever wanted to buy a kit, never buy a mushroom grow kit, for the very same amount of money you can build your own kit that will produce at the very least twice as much as any kit on the market.

Now the pre sterilzed substrates and bulk spawns are still a rip off, but they do alleviate the amount of work you have to do.. i've always been tempted to just spend the cash, though i never have.

well what would you say if i told you you could do it for less than that kit cost.... at least the kit you picked isn't total trash, like most.. but still 79 dollars for that is insane, you could gather all that was there for 50 or less with the right amount of time input, and that includes presterilized substrates and spawn.

no biggie really i just hate to see people be taken advantage of by these "grow kits" scams... using scams loosely..
