Treat your plant like the whore she is, 1 to 2 weeks before harvest.

So I read somewhere that if you traumatize or over stress your plant a week or so right before harvesting, its a great thing. The plant thinks its under attack and will produce more resin to protect itself. Is this a good technique that growers should practice? If so, what kind of techniques does everyone use to stress out there plants? The only ones I could come up with was no water and stem breakage. Anything else? Thanks.

PS. This thread is placed in two section by mistake. I placed the thread in the wrong section and do not know how to delete the other one.

i've stressed the plants before by twisting the hurd but not near the end of flowering. the stressing idea comes around every few years and then fades away again. there should be a few threads about it floating around the net. there are a ton of different ways to stress a plant. wood through the stock, twist the hurd, i remember a guy saying he put a flame next the the plant for a min or so. that would stress the hell out of me! although some say it's great, if it truly enhanced THC production, it would be common knowledge, we'd all be doing it.

**makes sense.. since the flower is finishing, waiting to get spermed on--- and all of a sudden it gets "stressd/attacked" then it does make sense for the plant to put a final effort in defense or resin production... to protect the most important thing.. the flowers that the plant thinks might get pollinated...

--no Kron, plz do not jizz on your plants.. rofl

back in the 70's it was a common thing to drive a nail into the stalk of the plant most of the time it wont kill the plant but well shock the hell out of her .....ive herd it can lower yeild but also make keifer herb ...this is a common practice on many shrubs and other plants to send them into early flower to stress the plant a bit

The main purpose of the resin(Trichomes) is to protect the flowers from the suns UV Rays. Best bet is to get a UV Bulb. It will up Trichome production slightly but genetics will be the limiting factor.

The trichomes are also a reason heli's can spot plants outdoors so easy because they reflect light back so well.

mythbusters says metal is the way to go... METAL UP YOUR ASS PLANTS METAL UP YOUR ASS!!
methbusters said no such thing there test was not complete because there water timer "broke" also they were not in sound proof tents the tent right next to a tent could hear the music from the other tent some very high frequencies like those found in death metal can impair plant growth ...As found by researchers cornell university ...dont go around telling people a non fact like it is a fact

ah, the traumatizing hookers thread :)

i dont think there is any truth to this.

i always get the best action (and payoff) when i treat my ladies extra nice ;) (stress always lessens my yield)

Treat them like whores when they are young...tie them down, break their arms. thin the suckers..but when they get into flower...leave them alone!
