MMJ Taxes who gets that money?

If weed gets outright legalized which is likely to happen in the future who will get all that tax money that will get leaved on weed sales. I don't like paying any tax on my weed but I know if it were legalized it would be taxed, I'm just being realistic. Its going to be a hell of a lot of money. And it has no predefined home. I think it should go to the states education system, particularly college. Really it can go anywhere, but one thing is for sure, there will be no shortage of grabbing hands. Now would be the time to start defining where this tax money should go, not just the states general fund. Put this money to good uses for the people who pay the tax, not corporate welfare.

I wound not want it all to go to law enforcement. Weed prohibition has been very good for law enforcement funding, so as we know, it is not in there self interest to change this law so they will fight a change in weeds legality right to the end. And not to military, we have been funding large wars for no good reason, I don't think we need more of that.

Any ideas where the taxes collected on weed should go?

Not that I agree with taxes at all, but that would just be dodging this questions. I think if they are taxed it should either go to healthcare specifically drug treatment programs.

Well first off would it be a federal tax or a state tax or a local tax.

Federal Tax the Feds would get it

State Tax The state would get it

Local tax the town you live in would get it.

As with gas sometimes all 3 get there finger in it.

The FEDs, or States or Local Gov. We could define who gets more or all, we at this point in time could have real influence where it goes. The reason I think this is important is we will define what is important to us the average person and not some greedy bankster. I am not falling for that we need all your money for our debt fear/guilt-mongering.

The time we are in now has many similarities to The Great Depression. And at that time there was the repeal of the failed alcohol prohibition. We could have something similar with weed prohibition. There is clear political pressure to do this. At some point politicians will hook on to this, Obama did. Just got to hold them to act to the will of the people.
