Try to get that ph up a little bit. Nutrient uptake is directly related to ph level. You can have nutrient deficiencies from having too high or low a ph.

I've been thinking my nutes were a bit low so I decided to do a full res change yesterday and up the strength a bit.
I put in a fresh 5 gal RO @ 4:8 m:b @ ppm 438 and pH 5-6.
I also trimmed off two lower leaves that didn't look so good.
Today she looks to be perkier and happier so hopefully that was the only issue. I've been keeping the tent open when I'm home to help keep the heat down as well.

yes actually. Maybe not full on mendo but I have grown blackwater before. Gorgeous plant. Intense difference from look-smell-high.

I'm wondering if you are supplying a root enhancer such as voo doo or possibly rhizotonic?

I think if you can add a fan that is blowing up from the bottom towards the light helping push the heat up towards your exhaust that may help you some. Also I noticed that you said your ballast is part of your fixture I believe? If so this is a major part of your problem. The heat from the bulb and also from the ballast in a tent is a lot to overcome IME. If you have the know how I would look into figuring out a way to remote your ballast. If you can't do that I think that a 4 inch axial fan matted to a duct could suck the hot air away from the light and out of the room sufficiently if you could exhaust it out of the room the tent is in.
IMO getting the heat from the bulb and ballast out of the room with the tent is the key to success. However you do that is up to you but that is what helped me get my tent to like 4 degrees over ambient. Good luck and happy growing!

Winter is here early so it looks like temps shouldn't be a problem for much longer. Temps in the tent have been 69º-89º over the last few days, mostly in the low 80's. I've had to cut the lid for the res in half since I realized I wouldnt be able to lift it off and add water bottles once I get the screen in there, which should be pretty soon.
I also FIMmed the top and the growth all around is a bit uneven so I've been topping it in a few places to try and promote growth. We'll see how that goes as it's my first time...

I'd love to take out the ballast but I don't know how and don't want to mess with it. I'll just look into getting a different light for next time and selling this one... the weather's changing so hopefully I'll be ok and will plan better for the next go-around.

Just built my scrog screen and put it in. 2'x2' with 1.5" squares. Pics of the roots as well.
My pH keeps dropping, any ideas? (Roots look/feel healthy; no smell; plant seems to keep improving as the weather cools down)
Lucas Formula bumped up to full: 8:16 m:b @ 820ppm @pH 5.1-5.8 (kept in check with pH up)
Res Temps 65-69ºF; Tent 69-88ºF
Day 19:

You might have trouble changing/adjusting your rez later since your screen isn't attached to it.

I cut the lid in half and have a water pump to get almost all the water out for res changes--is that not enough?
Do I need to attach the screen to the res as well? I just have it hanging from tent right now but I can raise/lower it easily.

How do you clean the gunk off the sides/bottom? Just be careful and make sure things stay tidy and you wouldn't have to worry about attaching the screen.

I think with res temps, if you can manage to keep it under 75f, you should be able to avoid problems. 75f and over for prolonged periods a no-no.
There is usually a little stress when the clones re-establish roots after being planted. A little drooping and yellowing is not ucommon (especially so with OG)... And that's a pretty big clone you started with so...
But that 91f air temp is making a hard time even harder for her.
You can either spend hundreds to cool the air, or spend hundreds to inject co2 for a hi-temp grow.

Yeah the res temps have been no problem but the heat is still terrible--I added a 16" fan inside and still only got it down to 86º at the screen.
I don't want to deal with more cooling or CO2 so I'm actually thinking of picking up a Blackstar 240w LED to replace the 250w. Thoughts?
