Which seedbanks/breeders are actually reliable?

Agreed with Toolage. Watch out for seed sites that look slapped together last minute!
What's so bad about sticking to the handful of big names we all know and trust. Seeds aren't cheap and I don't think you should put yourself in the position of experimental test subject, because those couple bucks you save could end up being the worst decision ever.
I wish we had a thread that talked about the pros and cons of ordering from newer seedbanks. I know I'm relatively new on the forums so if such a thread exists, I don't know about it.
The biggest and most probable con for the list anyway is that: which of these just slapped together seed banks are actually sting operations to catch the less wary. I read in the news those types of ops were being set up.

Exaclly. Also lagit seed banks don't have a tone of strains to chose from unless they are getting supplied from well known seed banks or people who want to get their strains out. Another thing is a seed bank that charges $50 for 10 to 15 seeds and is well known then a new seed bank with strains that haven't been heard of before with a higher price tag is worth spending $50 on the 10 to 15 seeds.Agreed with Toolage. Also I find that if a legit seed bank offers even 5 good strains even if they are at $50 to $100 for 10 to 20 pack is worth it because they aren't willing to carry horrible strains and you can take those 2 to 5 of them get a male cross it with the female of the same strain make your self a IBL of the traits that you want from that strain and breed it with the other strains and such you can make up to 15 IBL strains of your own and that's with the % that they are all back crossed evenly 3 to 4 times or more if you chose.
Don't forget that a single female plant can produce hundreds and even thousands of seeds.
So in the end ask your self. Spend the little extra money on a seed bank that is well known for good things or risk losing money on a "seed bank" that is there to rip people off or a "Seed bank" setup to do stings against people who grow?

Attitude rocks! I just got my beans today. 8 business days to AZ. Very impressive. I was kinda leary about ordering them, but if this first batch is any indication, I will definitely order from Attitude again. And I got a new wallet!

Had the same problem with not receiving my shipment from Nirvana, they did re-ship what I didn't receive, but what I got where sad small seeds. Only 2 germinated and I'd always had a very good germination rate, until those seeds. So I only have two plants out of 10 seeds, and I'll be pissed if one isn't a female and what we end up with is nothing useable. I tried buydutchseeds and it sent me to the Amsterdam Seed Bank. Total rip-off, glad I used a Credit Card and got all my money back.

ok i germinated the romulans first i soaked in room temp water for two hours then planted in soil rite away I put them on a seedling heat mat and all sprouted in 24 hours even the cracked one. Product: Next Generation Romulan

I've ordered several times, great seeds, and they guarantee delivery. Why do people chime in when the don't know shxt. "The way the site looks???

as joey weed has stopped breeding C99 & A11, i don't have much motivation to order from hemp depot anymore, but would recommend them for any of the gear they have other banks don't that sounds interesting. my last purchase was a pack of C99 x A11 for breeding before that's gone too.
at the moment, i get everything i want from attitude along with whatever monthly newsletter freebies they run that sound worth placing an order for. now that mosca has started offering a trippy "potent pineapple" C99, i can even get that there, though i might try some sannies gear some day for all the respect they get here & elsewhere.
mt favorite breeders are:
mandala for his 8 miles high
short stuff for his super cali haze

high quality seeds for their haze skunk, but am looking into some possibly better or faster haze hybrids as this one's hints of cigar in it's flavor don't agree with me at all and as potent and long lasting as the high is, i'm still looking for a more sensual & visual one like columbian gold ultimately.
i've had great results with nirvana and their sativa seeds label for regular gear, but never finished anything i would have liked and was disappointed that their full moon thai lived up to all of the negative traits associated with that IBL and only had a stoney buzz when i cut it down at the START of flowering for turning hermie as thai does naturally. it didn't even seem to like a 3 gallon bucket & got stressed. i have better hopes for SS eldorado & urban poison

keep your eyes open for seedbanks whose gear is exactly the same as nirvanas, but more expensive, i've seen 2 seedbanks repackaging nirvana $25 gear for $50 and even $75!

I live in USA and I have tried many different seed banks and never had a problem until now. BCBUDDEPOT. I ordered GOD BUD 4 months ago I guess or close to 4 months. I waited a month and a half the first time and I received nothing. I emailed and emailed them and never got a reply. Then I called and was directed to a guy named Jason. Wow! what a Jerk!. He answered the phone with an attitude. Maybe he should work for attitude seeds. He said that the reason that they never replied to my email was that they had a guy in customer service that they had to fire because he was not doing his job correctly. But the whole conversation he had a very negative tone. He said he would reship and this is months later and I never received anything. I know that shit happens but I have never failed to receive my package from attitude or Nirvana. NEVER and I have ordered many times. The second time I called about this he was even more rude. He said I could give him a different address which I was going to do but then he kept fussing and being rude like I was trying to scam him. Please! I know how to create my own seeds and I don't need his cannabis winning strains. It means nothing to me. I finally said just forget it. This dude really has problems. TGA has been very good to me as well as sannies and nirvana and attitude. But this company BCBUDDEPOT is a joke and waisted my time. I don't even care about the money. I told him this. The money is not what bothers me. It is people that take advantage of other people. This is what makes me mad. God bless the USA. I pray that people will love each other. Peace!

Just as a follow up, the Ministries said they mailed my seeds on Aug 3 and Sept 9. I never received anything. They forwarded me a picture with a letter with my name on it on top of a newspaper dated Sept 9. Either they're a scam or the postal service in Holland is not user friendly.
The lesson I learned is I no longer do business with the Dutch and have had success with the British and Canadians. That's a $65 dollar lesson for free.

First time hydro grower. First post. Ordered seeds from Nirvana-shop. Then had regrets after reading some bad posts. Happy to say I received seeds no problem today, less than a week shipping time to USA. One seed is soaking right now! So excited grow a plant! Big plus signs for Nirvana!.

Maybe you should wait not only to see how your Nirvana gear turns out, but also how you later finds it compares to the gear of good breeders like Scott Blakey (AKA Shantibaba), Paradise Seeds, Sannie, Dr. Greenthumb, Sensi Seeds, Serious Seeds, De Sjamaan, DJ Short and a handful others before you give "Big plus signs for Nirvana."

Sativa Seedbank is a part of Nirvana. Funnily enough this is the part that has all the Sativa strains
Like Nirvana they have a pretty wide selection, but it seems that most of their strains are based around the same 2-3 landrace genetics. In all fairness to them though they are usually very clear on the lineage of the strains that they sell. Their Blackjack is an excellent strain (sativa dominant hybrid), If you are after a Pure Sativa (or as close as it gets) try the Full Moon, but be warned it is a real bitch to get the most out of as it will curl up its toes and die at the slightest problem. Other than that the only point i would add is not to be mislead by the names they give their strains, Their Jock horror for example has nothing to do with Jack herer etc.
