what are you calling a 20k bulb? you really should look around a little more, it's ok that you don't believe me, but if you need more validation, search these forums further by using the advanced search function for lights. 2700k is soft white (red) used for flowering and 6500k is day light (blue) used for vegging.Maybe people use those in larger rooms with multiple plants. From what I understand the further the light source is from the plants the lower the lumen output really is. So if it was growing multiple plants from a good distance it might work well. Theres actually a fluorescent bulb I was looking at that has 20k. It was called "daylight" I believe. Start a new thread about this question and you will probably get some better answers.
