Do you need 10 bottles of nutes?

I have the sensi grow A & B and the bloom A & B, but do I really need any other nutes?

I see people using 20 different things in their grow, but do I really need all that stuff? Is my yield gonna be super big if i do?

Your base nutes offer a pretty poor NPK ratio so I would recommend a bloom booster to improve the quality and density of your end product. Given your 1-1-2 ratio, I'd suggest something like hydroplex with a 0-10-6 NPK value. That seems to match up well. Master those 3 bottles in flower and ignore the rest of the garbage your nute brand recommends you buy.

I think that 20 things is a bit of an exaggeration, but I know what you mean.

Really, I don't have time for all of those nutrients, god no.

I do use 5 consistently. Really, it's more like 4 since you're using the A&B in weeks 1 through 6.

Sensi A&B
Voodoo Juice
Big Bud
B52
Overdrive

Yeah, I think the Master Grower bundle and the other bigger bundles from Advanced NUtrients are a bit out of my league, and I can't speak to how well they work personally. I've heard they're powerhouses, but really, how much weed do you really need to grow?

I mean, *if* I grew, I would only grow what I needed, with a little to spare. Anything else is ego, IMHO

As for just using base nutes, I've seen it work out and I did it when I was first starting out...

But hey, I say try out what works for you and see what happens. That's really the only way you'll get any answer...And that Jungle Juice stuff is supposed to be cheaper, so maybe that's a good option for you if you're worried about spending too much money...

good question though - it can seem like everyone wants you to buy more than you need, and it's true. That's how companies make money, after all.

Doesn't mean you HAVE to do anything...use your common sense.

Or come here to find out someone else's common sense. LOL

IMAG0113.jpgIMAG0084.jpgvanilla 2.jpgIMAG0086.jpgI use 35% h2o2 and J.R Peters just one little container spend about 25$ on nutrients every 4 months or so ;)
And i grow 7-9' trees indoors hydro. So not you don't need 10 different bull shit bottles of snake oils. Keep a healthy plant and give it what it need. That way you can avoid all the other 20 additives.
Now if you wanna half ass it to the point your plant will need 20 other additives well then that's on you. IMO

for years i used biobizz grow and biobizz bloom, i added a little mollasses halfway thru flower. my yeilds were usually over 3oz per plant in soil under a 600 watt hps, the plant was normally around 4 to 5 weeks old(from seed pop) to flower. some of the extra nutes are helpful but more than half are just fucking snake oil for the gullible. get a good understanding of the basics and then tweek a little here and there. keeping temps stable and the correct watering and tending schedule will do you more good than throwing cash at them buddy.

As your experience grows so will your need for even bigger harvest, that's where all the other shit comes in.

Keep it simple for the first few grows than do some research and pick something that will be effective at adding weight to your grow. Never add more than 1 new product at a time, if you do and something goes wrong you can't tell what did it.

I would make sure I had a bottle of Cal-mag or something similar on hand as your likely going to need it.

A lot of the stuff that you see is indeed marketing. All you need is a 9-3-6 for veg, and 10-30-20 for flower, add in some cal mag, molasses, and even keep a bit of hydrogen peroxide nearby, and you have all the essential nutrients to growing good cannabis :)

Well, personally, I think of it as stacking nutrients, not using more than one nutrient - or 20.

Each of the nutrients is meant to help support the others.

Like when bodybuilders use different supplements to stack on benefits, weed can get the same benefit.

I can only dream of using the Grand Master Grower Level™or something like that. I mean, it's really a lot of stuff, but when you think about all of the ways it supports growth and development, it makes sense to use more nutes.

Even the Grand Master Grower Level doesn't have that much. After all, if you're already used to using a certain basic bundle, then why not add more, keep things interesting?

Stacking nutes lets you maximize all of the processes in the plant, and there are a lot more things going on than just things moving toward the light or developing great weed.

In the end, it's really up to the grower what works best. Because if you can't use it, then you're going to mess it up or you're going to start hating growing. & that's not what you want to do either, right?

That is too funny, he obviously has a complete understanding on nutrients, and I for one am going to start planting in bags of fertilizer and just add water. But really "stacking nutes like when bodybuilders use different supplements to stack on benefits, weed can get the same benefit". "why not add more, keep things interesting?" Oh My God!!!!!!

I forgot to give some constructive input. There are lots of people that only use one bottle, actually one bag. Maxi bloom @ 7grams per gallon through veg and flower and nothing else. better known as the kiss method.

IMO you can use a one part fert and have good results, Maxibloom works for sure but there are other one part ferts that can be better. If you run Maxibloom you can supplement with powder kool bloom in weeks 3-4 in flower at 1/4 strength which really makes it work great. Running a lot of different products to me is kind of senseless because you don't know in the end all the values of everything in your res or soil. So my take is no you don't need 20 different sauces unless that is what it takes to equal to a good one or two part nute. I say keep it simple but most importantly, keep it healthy and green!
