Lol why speak Latin?
Please state your debate in English buddy,

If we must debate about something that doesnt exist, should the language matter if the words wont mean anything in the end?
So aliens don't exist? Where's your evidence to back up your statement?
And yes in order to debate I must read your argument in English.
I thought the subject was God, rather than aliens. I believe in aliens, but can not demonstrate that they exist.
Why are you so skeptical of god and not aliens? And yes I said I think "aliens" are angels and god(s) and vice versa; that's where this started from, lol.![]()
Aah yea, the date of threads catches up to you when you forget the original purpose after a while.![]()
I'm skeptical of "God" because there's so many versions and varieties, all with beliefs that are different where some go to hell for things in some religions but dont in others. All based upon "words" and "events" that were tall tales from old times and most with logical explanations.
I'm optimistic for "Aliens" because there's countless suns and countless planets and many within liquid water range.... I can not demonstrate that aliens exist, obviously. Nor can a religious person prove that a God exists. However, I can point to numerous scientific papers and sky surveys and formulas for calculating the number of planets probable with life on them.
What can I say, I tend to lead to the evidence side of the arguments......
Here's where you must first define god. If you mean an intelligent agent that created the universe, than that is much more improbable than alien life that must have come about by some slow evolutionary process. Alien life that is the equivalent of bacteria is much more probable than alien life that is intelligent which is more probable than alien life that is intelligent enough to travel interstellar distances. There's also so many versions and varieties of alien life forms. And knowing how much we don't know about the universe doesn't make you think there can be a slight possibility of a god?

No, not really. I think its human fear and explaining what they couldnt explain at their technological adolescence. I would expect most advanced alien civilizations to also have been well past the religious belief period of their respective times. After all, religion on Earth has only been around a few thousand years and the ability to be more skeptical of it increases every day. The Universe has been around for 13.75 ± 0.13 billion years. If a "God" was going to make himself known, would he have really given a bunch of tablets to some asshat on a mountain?
When he could have simply Inscribed the 10 commandments on the Moon.. that would be getting his point across a little better.
