once we get a ruling from the courts about the clubs then it will be clear what clubs are legal and which ones are not.
The law says that if a group of qualified patients collectively and/or cooperatively work together to cultivate and use medical marijuana, they can not be prosecuted under Arizona law.

“It does not mean that you can sell marijuana and more importantly, it does not mean you can open a store front to sell medical marijuana,“Just because something is lawful as a use, doesn’t mean the city can not prohibit it from existing through zoning laws.”

For instance, things like junk yards, nuclear power plants, airports and landfills that have significant impacts on a city are routinely prohibited by city governments despite being legal as a matter of general law.”

all valid points. but we shall see how the courts rule on the suit filed against the clubs.

Its a tough break for the clubs, I dont think they will survive the way everything is going. I think them acting a little too close to what a dispensary might be is hurting them.

Wow, just saw this:
VANCOUVER - Police on Friday said the number of arrests in a massive Southwest Washington marijuana operation jumped to 49 people.
Dozens of indoor marijuana growing operations were targeted in raids Wednesday involving hundreds of agents, leading investigators to declare Clark County one of the biggest pot growing regions on the West Coast.
Investigators said around 6,800 plants were seized.
Appearing in a Clark County court Friday, most were charged with possession and manufacturing marijuana. Bail was set anywhere between $50,000 and $100,000.

I have a suspicion medical marijuana is on the way out, hope not.

its seems the trend is they are letting personal growers operate just fine as long as they follow the state law, but "business" operations are going down......i dont really have a problem with it. If it forces everyone to grow it...that is WAY better for everyone a few years down the road.

were going thru it here in california. how about the huuuuuge bust in tennessee?ccrrraaazzyyy big! over 300,00 plants!caves with kitchen and bathrooms! wow estimated over 500million?

Here's another one yesterday:
DENVER - Federal agents have seized two large-scale medical-marijuana grow operations in the Denver area and arrested four people, 9Wants to Know has learned.
About 1,000 plants were seized at a warehouse grow facility near East 38th Avenue and Forrest Street Thursday evening. That's south of Interstate 70 near Holly Street.

This is what I am seeing: "members of the NORML Legal Committee (NLC), a nationwide network of over 600 lawyers, is already organizing and poised to challenge federal and state governments who seek to kill patients’ access to medical cannabis and to defend citizens egregiously charged by their own government for law violations. I think the key intent is "who seek to kill patients’ access to medical cannabis", this is the objective of the Arizona seditionists and traitors, to stop the MM program entirely. I hope there are enough of the right people in the right positions to save this medicine.

they will all be brought down, and i hope soon. The whole trying to get rich off medical pot is the same shitty business model that big pharm companies use. GEt rich off the sick and injured.....bad karma.

there are SO mnay caregivers out there than NEED patients, that is what needs to happen, a better way to hook patient up with caregivers.... not money model "compassion"
business's. COmpassion and business are rare bedfellows.
u know what tho a lot of the clubs i went to dont charge outrageous prices and will actually give meds to seriously sick patients. i just thing the gov needs to let the law be carried out the way the people voted on it. im sick of these mf's stopping the will of the people. how far will they take this. its as if we dont even live in a demacracy. son of a bitch

Before I know better, the place I went through wouldn't help me at all (after explaining I am disabled and can't afford their 20 gram price, the guy said he had to do what he was told), they did nothing.

there are always gonna be those places that are in it for pure profit, but my point is that some arent, and those places are beneficial to the mmj community. i just dont thing it would be good if they were all shut down like philosophist suggested

I think this approach is wrong. Not everyone can or wants to grow it. Opening up a free market is the way to lower prices. You don't lower prices by stifling competition.

They'll go after the new guys. There are always guys going up in business & guys going out of business. That's the way it'll be.

You would have to make it pretty obvious for them to notice a indoor grow especially if you are at your limit. One would hope they leave the people alone but they probably wont.

Clubs & dispensaries are illegal in Arizona right now (duh), that seems to be the main problem. Until things are sorted out it makes all mmj card holders look like law breakers to the rest of the state. Sets a bad public image for all of us in an environment waiting to bust anyone promoting selling pot in storefronts. There are those that will probably never have problems and those that go looking for it. If you are breaking the law right now then you would be lloking for trouble . . .

Gotta be one of the funniest posts today ! Thanks, I laughed my butt off... The feds wasting time on miniscule grows while there's acre after acre they could easily be going after, good one !

legal is legal, illegal is illegal
