400MH works, but if you want good results stick with a 600HPS :) I tried 1000W and 600W, 600 seems to do best for me :) I use 1000 on outer edges of garden. BTw they look good, keep it up!! O, think about it this way. some people flower under CFLS!!! so a 400, with the right bulb should work wonders then lol.

Raise the roof! LOL

Well How about this, You have a lot of room right? Start training them to grow away from the center of the room. Bend the stalks and tie them down. Then you can get light to the sides. Another light would not hurt.

Good Luck.

i already have them tied down to the pots w/ fishing line

i think a new 600 watt is in order for my next grow actually as i'm typing this i just remembered i have a 175 watt mh i could throw in there i hav'nt used it because the bulb is dead.

anyway i want to know if there is a way to get more out of this grow.
what would happen if i trim some of the leaves how about trimming the tips of theleave and leaving the rest? does any one know if this helps or hurts? . .

just trimming the tips is a good way to get light to the lower buds. that way you don't lose the energy production is you were to take the whole leaf off, but are able to get some light to penetrate the canopy. i read that you can do that in the 3rd edition of the cannabible

Tanker is completely wrong and orecal is close behind.Just wanted to make sure that misinformation doesnt keep going. Do not trim or prune the plant during flower. That is to be done during the veg stage. What you should have done is lollipped these at begging of veg. Your learning a good lesson in pre planning as your plant to room availiable is a problem. The lower buds are sacrificed pretty much. What you ll have is the better larger top colas the bottom one wells not much to do. You can second harvest byt taking the top finished buds from the plants then remove larger fan leaves in the way from the smaller buds by pushinging them aside or tucking them under each other. Then let the plants continue to flower another 3-4 weeks and see if the smaller buds fill in for you.But for sure dont go chopping or pruning during flower as thats a big mistake and will stress and slow the plants hurting all yield and potency.

i was just relaying what I read in the cannabible.... at least say that the author is wrong, I'm acually happy that you shared this info... was unaware that it would hurt yeild and potentcy... I was under the impression that as long as it was within the first 2 weeks of flowering that pruning and trimming was ok.

SOrry didnt know you were quoting but trimming in flower causes the plant to have to heal and that takes energy and food away from the budding sies which is why its bad.SOrry didnt mean to offend just wanted to make the correction.

No hard feelings...

thats a good point that I should have questioned when I read it. so you recommed trimming only before you switch the lights? how long before to avoid hurting the yeild and potentcy.
