Harvesting Lower Branches first?

I have some AK-47 9 weeks into flower and the top main cola's look immature eg: small bud formation and 100% white hairs. I had heat problems between week 3 and 7 sometimes the heat got up to 33-34 degrees, the lower smaller branches and bud look a lot better and trics are cloudy, if I start harvesting all of these lower branches will it be ok, I don't want to stress the plant out. Does anyone know if the rest of the plant will mature, I flushed 6 days ago so I plan on giving no more nutes, just ph'd water?

Don't harvest more than 1/4 to 1/3 of the plant if you want to keep shock to a minimum.

Thanks for the reply, do ye think that the main cola's will develop more? This is my third grow with this strain the last 2 were ready to harvest in the middle of the 8th week, this time round the main cola's just dont look ready and I'm almost in week 9.

main colas probably got heat stressed and didn't grow well while the lower branches farther away from the heat source didn't suffer as much and in turn kept growing...yeah just do a slow harvest starting with the ones that are ripe

I think as long as you limit your harvest to two stages, as opposed to cutting a bud a day here or there kind of thing
you'll be ok.
I harvested the top buds off three plants last harvest and let the bottoms grow for two to three more weeks.
The lower buds ripened, added weight and added color during that time.

Go for it, I always harvest in stages indoors...outdoors when it's safe to keep going back(lol). The remainder of the plant will be fine(outside of the previous heat damage), some growers strip down all but a few small branches and re-veg the whole thing. You can leave only one branch on, and it will continue to mature.
