My 2 cents on profit for caregivers

Are you saying the care giver can grow 72 plants as long as he is also a card holding patient? Might want to check on that. I'm not sure, but I thought if you were a patient, and a care giver, you could only take on 4 more patients. Of course, I never read the law lookin for ths MOST I could grow.

See, YOU are a patient 1 + 4 = 5...If you take on 5 patients..and are a patient yourself..aren't you growing for 6?
Yes the max allowable plant count is 72 a certified patient caregiver with 5 patients.
Not all caregivers are patients.

I think that is how it works. Here in Cali I think you can have plants for up to 4x patients in a home, with oneself being added to that makes it 5x.

It may be 72 total in Michigan...but again...I'm trying to understand what "fair compensation" means to these guys...and more plants doesn't help them at all.My god, with 72 plants they'll all want to make $200,000 a year...you know, something "fair' for those long 20 hour weeks and their vast skills.

I mean 72 plants for 6 people? And theoretically, those 6 people are going to consume all of it? I wanna meet those guys..my god they have to be a fun bunch...tired..munchies all the time...but well "medicated"

:D but it is true, if someone strictly smoked to ease whatever pain their illness causes & needed to smoke over an Oz per week.. Sheesh. That is a serious condition.
It was just an easy joke...no disrespect meant...Medical Forum...oz per week...

I kinda thought it was funny....

Thats why I thought the guy questioning me about patients that need 2 oz a week was such a joke. What kind of swag are they smoking.. Lmao..
Either get better meds for find something that actually works..

I only smoke one hit when I get up, then may not need more for hours. Then one hit...you get the idea. Any more and I'm not medicating....I'm partying. And although I do occasionally party...I can only use about 1 oz per month..maybe 1.5...

I can't believe there are true medical users smoking much more than I do. Maybe...but again...if I had to smoke that much for relief...I'd go to opiates. Which I could get prescribed..but don't.

I bet some of these guys, if they could get prescribed opiates, would become opiate caregivers! "My prescription is actually more than I need...I'll be a 'caregiver"...I'll sell my prescription "overages" for big money to other "patients"....ya some of these guys will like that thought.

1oz per month is not bad, a gram a day will keep the doctor away! That is the limit I should be @ in the near future.

I roll a nice one and it will last me two days easy. Throw in some scissor hash or hairs from the bottom of my jars and it will last 3.

Medical users tend to use reasonable amounts...heck, with Parkinson's I'm try to get OFF the couch...
When anyone starts talking over 2oz per month..that's recreational....much over that, seems to be "caregiver"

And now that I think of it...I go through an oz to 1.5 oz per month..I share quite a bit...and I wasn't thinking about that. I was just thinking about how much leaves the jars..so I'm under an oz per month...

On bad days I just use my medables..
Quality plants make for quality trimmings and quality trimmings make for some quality hash and medables..

I've yet to get anything from a dispensary that could compare to what I do at home.
One of my rice crispy treats will keep me right as rain on my bad days. I can even and usually do nap for a few hours and they stick with me.
A hit off a joint sends my over the top and I start having "high flash's"...LMAO, yes "high flash's".. So stoned it's LSD trippy.

Really though....I wish the guys that claim to be caregivers...that can't act like a care givers...would stop putting their " I should make as much as I want, and not be accountable and my time and skills are so valuable rhetoric in a MEDICAL FUCKING FORUM.

Post that shit under "general growing"..."advanced growing"...."legalization"..."organics"...or any of the other forums. But please take your "dank shit" TO ANOTHER FORUM.

Not a forum someone might read while trying to decide their position on the med laws. That "I should make whatever i want" jive bullshit smack, has no place in a medical forum.....unless they are truly the ones wanting laws tightened, and privileged revoked....that would be less competition..they'd like that. keep the prices up!

A medical forum should talk about positive medical cannabis behavior. REASONABLE profits discussions are fine. Info on the latest propositions are fine. Discussions on how dispensaries could operate discreetly and professionally are fine. (and dispensaries have no need for a smoking area, I can't find a pharmacy that has a little room I can go pop my pills in...why do I need a place to medicate at the dispensary?)
Talk about what strains for what condition, fine. Tons to talk about.

Topics and discussions that would cause a reasonable person, using this site as research, to define their position (READ VOTE) on medical cannabis, to think "WOW there ARE positives to this issue"

I've never bought dispensary meds either. Other than a gram at a time to sample, and I agree. The quality of meds isn't too good in Michigan.
You'd think with all these professional care givers, supplying the dispensaries with their labor intensive, finicky, takes mad skills to grow, high dollar meds...the quality would be better.

The reality is that good meds don't get to the dispensary in the first place. The guy growing true quality cannabis, is usually the gut growing for himself. And any overage he has...stays close to home....

I think the term care giver is pretty funny for some of these clowns too.

I'm all for some profit to the "care giver" the whole thread is about what reasonable compensation should be. Hey, if your supplying 5 patients, and you make $700 or so a month doing it..god bless you..that's fair for the actual time and effort. But if you think you should make $100,000 a year....your just a drug dealer posing as a caregiver.
Well the latest cancer cure cycle cost 150,000 for 5 weeks it cures nothing... I charge 22 year olds with bad knees alot and 60 yr old vets nothing...
You try being a farmer sometimes I don't want to sell the shit be people beg me and offer astronomical sums for colas... It's an art at high level... What is a truffle worth? What is a abalone worth? Wygu beef? The best is expensive ..
The really sick get tincure for free daily .. That's right free always everclear and no pesticide trim in a dropper bottlefor free all cuz they know it's a good remedy!

Bob, what bother me so much is there used to be a code of ethics around here and when people so openly admitted they were breaking the law, other people spoke up. It wasn't but a few months ago that they would jump you for saying sell, or profit and now they freely use terms like business.

You can tell who they are by the excuses and rhetoric they use to justify themselves.

Charging by need is admirable.

And the best is expensive.

But the best rarely comes from farms. It comes from gardens..smaller grows. It's grown in soil, never hydro...big pots, organic, guano teas..ewc's, cared for daily. They tend to be Sativa's, moderate yielders, and long growing. They tend NOT to have massive cola's, and are not "dank", at least that's not the word I would use.

There are exceptions, some times Farmer have a little room elsewhere, with a "special" grow...but the "best" never comes out of a mass grow...

Oh, I've figured that out....it's why I'm being such an ass to them.

They get tired of playing. But you do have to keep going at them. They prey on weaker people on the boards (just like in their "business'), and hope to gang up on you, and drive you away. But when you just keep asking simple questions over, and over....they run and hide like little girls...

Like Coreita and Trevorite....little girls...Countess isn't as bad..but sometimes...
