Powdery Mildew 'unavoidable'?!

Is my understanding of powdery mildew accurate?

My operating belief is that because spores are ubiquitous, you cannot totally eradicate PM threat unless in a sealed environment with filtered intake. PM can be effectively eliminated with good ventilation/airflow, low humidity and foliar sprays before flowering. Once infected with PM, a plant is systemically and permanently infected, and has already been so for some time. You can manage outbreaks with sprays but it's in there for good and will pop up even with optimal conditions.

How do you deal with PM?

I grow in off season to avoid main sources of PM. also use live soil with fungi and bacteria cultures to help boost plants defense.
Have seen others use neem oil spray. it blocks sites that PM attacks.
washing leaves with water and milk (10-20% milk) milk has anti fungal and immune boosters.
Change clothes before entering/tending plant room. have a set that is used just for that and shower before changing.
It depends on your area also. SF area is rampant with the stuff.
once it shows up in your grow it will likely come back, even on later grows due to spores being on equipment.

Trimming the understory, intaking from as high as possible off the ground, lots of air flow(fans) spray with 8.5ph baking soda water. (I also add tamarind to my water). remove every leaf with large outbreaks. I stopped it. I also aborted my scrog, cleaned the room, sprayed the plants down good and let them finish. I stopped growing that strain also....

just make sure you have good light coverage, a relatively high temp and lower humidity, and air flow. mildew inst hard to kill off, or prevent, just make the environment not ideal for its growing conditions.

also i use a fungus/rot killer, at 1/2 strength every 15 days, on the soil, and 1/4th strength as foliage feeding, to unsure a lack of mildew and fungus

For some odd reason, I had PM for like two months last year around this time.. .I half ass treated the plants which worked, NEVER Steralized the room & NEVER saw the PM again. In my personal experience & being a realist, I do not think I am that lucky.. I think it has todo with the environment temps humidity & such.. With winter coming & things cooling down around here moistening up.. I will be on the lookout. >.< I hope I am wrong.

I haven't seen a speck of PM this run. Been treating with Neem Oil every few waterings. Hope my hydrofarm dehuey and two oscillating fans help to keep me clean when we flip and the foliar sprays are no longer feasible.

I have completely eliminated powdery mildew from my house and yard. I did it with Neem oil. It started right after I moved here. One day I noticed some powdery shit on my leaves of my weed indoors, at the time I had no idea what it was so shrugged it off. a few weeks later I notced it spreading so I google "white powdery shit on my weed" Up pops powdery mildew. So I start looking for an organic PM killer and I found Neem oil had a good rep as a PM killer. Luckily I already had it as a pesticde. So I sprayed my plants but after a month or two it would always come back. One day I was out in my yard and realized the shit was everywhere on the weeds and some shrubs. so I loaded up a sprayer with a bunch of Neem oil and spray my yard and my neighbors yards when no one was looking. It got rid of it. I now spray my whole yard several times a year with neem. I also spray my pot indoors with neem every two weeks up until the second or third week of flowering and I have no bug problems and no mold problems ever.
