Its the huge corporations that create the most jobs.

How important are small businesses to the U.S. economy?

Small firms:

  • Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms.
  • Employ just over half of all private sector employees.
  • Pay 44 percent of total U.S. private payroll.
  • Have generated 64 percent of net new jobs over the past 15 years.
  • Create more than half of the nonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP).
  • Hire 40 percent of high tech workers (such as scientists, engineers, and computer programmers).
  • Are 52 percent home-based and 2 percent franchises.
  • Made up 97.3 percent of all identified exporters and produced 30.2 percent of the known export value in FY 2007.
  • Produce 13 times more patents per employee than large patenting firms; these patents are twice as likely as large firm patents to be among the one percent most cited.
Sources (see the Office of Advocacy's Research and Statistics page):

So since these small business have been hiring most of our workers these past 15 years, our employment rates are lowering, right?

It almost feels like some of us are seeing eye-to-eye on the importance of small businesses. Can we agree on something else?

What about removing the money from politics? Keep politicians broke?

Limit terms, so that there is high turn over (nothing will get done anyways)?

$10K Campaign limit and not outside financial support what so ever.

No TV campaigns, grass roots online. Bus stops, train stations.

Really make an attempt to remove the corruption that plagues our political system. Along with countless other things which need changing.

In my city I participated in occupying for the first 5 days. Day after day the movement shifted in the direction of more socialism, which I absolutely do not support. I am a Libertarian who has followed Freidrich Hayek, Von Mises, Peter Schiff, etc etc. Freemarket economics. People should be occupying the Federal Reserve who perpetuates debt and makes "us 99%" poorer through inflation. I cannot speak for all cities because some are indeed occupying the Fed, but my city isn't.

At my house the spirits are active. To active at times. They've scared the Hell out of a couple of my friends, so bad that those friends will not come here anymore. I asked a psychic to check my place out and when she started to walk in through my kitchen door she stopped dead in her tracks, backed up and not only refused to enter my house but almost ran to her car and would not tell me what she sensed or felt other than to say that she never felt anything like it before and didn't want to feel it again.

In the past I would have responded to a message like mine much the same as you did. But after the numerous inexplicable things that have happened in my house since 1995 I wouldn't. I went from being a total skeptic to a totally converted believer in the inexplicable.

Since that is what you believe in, walk the walk instead of just talking the talk.

I am still waiting for proof of your position, instead of just the uber-liberal revisionist history propaganda you posted.
Arguing with you is like arguing with a brick wall. What exactly did you not understand? I am not an "uber-liberal", I identify the closest to the Samuelsonian synthesis mindset. I'm not a socialist, or whatever you righties like to call the other half of the country.

Also, you keep referring to "liberal propaganda" but it is YOU who keeps posting articles. I base my conclusions on facts, evidence and the training I have recieved in school working towards my economics degree. I only started posting studies on the matter when you pulled the "these guys are smarter than you cuz they did a study lolz!" gag...
