Anyways, Im Junkist but you can call me nick whatever idc regardless.

but im new to growing actually very new. i have my first plant growing and ive basically just let it grow indoors.

its about 5'9 with quite a few big branches. i'm not to certain on how to tell the sex of the plant so i was wondering a easy way or if i can post a pic of it if you guys would help.

Also ive seen tons of white hairs idk if that means anything but thought i would post that.

if you need pics tell me where to take a pic.

any ways heres a pic just in case.



p.s sorry if this is all fucking up grammar wise its 6 am and i havent slept yet <3

A better pic would be of would stood back 5ft to show the whole setup, lights plants res all. It'll give more information brah :)

Yeah looks like a female too me :)

White hairs usually mean it is a female. You look at the nodes (that is where a brach starts away from the stem) and if you see a few white hairs it is a female, if you see a little ball or balls it is a male.

I'm jealous that you get to grow outdoors. A six foot plant is going to produce beautiful buds. And that you are growing outdoors takes much of the guesswork out of troubleshooting. Hope you're in a part of the world that isn't starting to get too cold.
Looking forward to pix of your work.

Here is a pic of my plant i took while me and my friend were setting up my new lights and shit.
NOTE: this is not that it loooks like now this was just it sitting there as we set up everything in a new spot



any and all criticism will help. im a brand new growing, I have never taking it serious until now.

Oh ok sorry for my benzo delerium. Looks like you're almost there. Ah, I would def stake the tall heavy buds. I've broken a few myself and it always sucks. Plants look healthy. I can't see where you need any help except with the dry/cure. Lemme know if ya need help with that.

The most important factor in harvest is timing for peak THC production.
in order to do this you must observe the trichomes (or trichs), which is the technical name for the crystally bits that cover your leaves and calyxes (calyxes are the bud bits that the hairs grow out from)

There are three types of trichomes, and only one of them produces THC in high quantities. This is called the "capitated stalked trichome" meaning a trichome with a stalk and a head. i forget the name of the other two types of trichs because i don't really care about them, except that it is one of the low THC tirchomes that give white strains the snowy appearance, thats why i don't recommend growing white strains, although a lot of people seem to love them. first, (unless you are able to move your plant without risk of damage) select a small side bud and clip it off at the stem. then take it out of the growroom and into natural (but not direct) light. aim for flat but bright light, like sunlight reflected off a white wall. get your magnifying glass (30X jewelers loupe is good, and only about US$20 off the net) , and have a good look at the trichomes from the side-on. Look for the ones like this : ======() and observe the colour of the head (cannabinoid secretions) and wait till around 50% of the capitated stalked trichomes have turned colour from clear to milky/amber. this will give the best all round high. If you prefer a stronger "body-stone" then wait till more of the trichs have turned colour as the ones which matured first will be breaking down THC into CBD which gives more of a body stone. If you only like Uppy buzzes, and want to avoid a body stone, then harvest once maybe 20-30% of the trichs have turned colour. the smoke harvested early or late will not be as potent as the plant harvested at the point of peak THC production.

or you can go by the color of the hairs as well. If over 50% of the pistils have changed color, you can harvest. and the leafs will turn pale green and yellow.

i'll give that some time most of my buds are still smallish.

but other that that and such is there any obvious tips i should know about.

and things to make sure i dont do?

wrong again dummy. learn how to grow before you spew off a bunch of bullshit. You don't know whats up after growing one plant in your closet
