I was doing 20/4lighting till my timer broke how long can i do 24hr lighting before its mandatory to change. I'm in 2nd week from seed.!!!!!!!

In my opinion and the way I do it is to grow them in veg untill they reach the size and height that I want ,then I switch. Leave a little room in your calculation for stretch though

Ya dud you can flower whenever the hell you want. I would say 5 to 7 weeks in veg for a nice big ass bush for a nice yield. But if you haven't noticed some people do the 12/12 from seed and quote that they get 2-4 oz a plant...

Leave them in 24 hours on now. Marijuana is a c3 type plant, and contrary to what alot of people say out here - it does not require "rest".. or "sleep".
I run 24/0 for veg. When you decide to flower.. just hit the switch to 12/12 to set what hours you want to run lights.

yeah you want one of them 22amp timers or the contacts cant handle it .... and max is 1 x 600w HID type lamp..... or 6 x 250w cfl..... you can't run 1 x 1000w HID off any timer that i know of..... you need a contactor aswell (i'm not an electrictian BTW!)... but i read it on an ebay advert lol

1000/120 gives you 8.3 thats the amps a 1k pulls am i correct ? so you can run 2 1k's off of one 20 amp circut just down't have them pop on at the same time . use two seperate 15 amp or better timers . make sure they have the three holes and they should be rated fo 15 amp . I am not a sparky either but i am a carpenter and my house has not burn't down yet . Like the above stated you can't go wrong with bigger stouter timers it's prolly safer in the long run .

i keep my mothers and cuttings under constant light and i'm happy with my results. i have tried turning the light down from 24/0 to 20/4 to 18/6 to 16/8 to mature my plants before they go into 12/12, it didn't do much.

don't worry about the timer during veg to much, when it comes to flowering thats when it really matters
