If the State ran the dispensaries..would you be good whith that?

Just a thought..looking for opinions. Not stupid arguments from anti government paranoids.

But if the State opened dispensaries, supplied patients for a reasonable donation, and bought overages from people with cards for fair prices, (State would want testing to determine value, and even if it's useable) would you think that was a decent compromise?

Would you trust them?
Would you be ok with testing?
What would you consider a fair price for A+ meds, under a "no risk" program?
At the end of the year, the State sends you a 1099 for what they paid you, you get all your deductions, but claim the income...would that be OK?

Federal government saying it is ok for the state to operate legally , yes I would have a problem with that. I'm not sure where you are going with the second question. That question would require you to be more specific to get any kind of intelligent answer.

I can see that problem. Feds can't be involved at all. So it would need to be privatized

If it were run simply by citizens, that reported only income tax and deductions to the State. But the state could inspect that they were operating within guidelines, it would keep the Feds relationship out. Like a restaurant...and a health inspector. Private business...no direct staet involvement..just the ability for the State to check and make sure no moldy, or bug filled meds are being sold. And that the meds are labeled with cannabanoid ratios, so the patient can make informed decisions as to what they need.

This is just hypothetical..sometimes good ides come from hypothetical thought.

I think the government has thought ahead on the subject. I think any action the goverment has taken they have 2 or 3 steps that they are going to take depending on how the public reacts to what rules are being pushed and how the public we try a push certain issues. You can bet that no matter what happens in the end they will have there big piece of the pie no matter what. Thats all I really have to say on the matter really.

Fair enough. and if by their 'big piece of pie', you mean taxes on the money everyone,s earning, yeah, they'll get that.. as they should, like any other business.

Why start a thread that is posed as a question, and not expect everyone to respond. Remember, it was a bunch of " anti government paranoids" that started this country.

It's not going to happen that way. The state would employ a certain number of large commercial growers and eradicate all patient home grows so that everyone had to give their money to the state.

However if they did come out with an opportunity like you say, I would not oppose that. They can test my shit all day. I do not use any poisons and have a climate controlled grow so I have no mold issues either. I would like to legally be able to sell overages to SOMEBODY!!

But yeah, there is no way the state would participate in your business model.

On a side note, something is in the works because one of my customers at work who owns a marijuana related .com site just had an offer from Pfizer to buy his domain name for $3000, 3 months after he paid $17 for it.

Nope, not me. Somehow Bob Ficano will get this boney little fingers in there and then him and his cronies will raise the prices and take the good stuff home for themselves, their illegitimate children, and the Metro Airport Commissioners.

why should it be any different-

than any other business. the gov should stay the fuck out of it.
or.

how bout WE run it the same as big pharma, and get rich as fuck for the next hundred years or so. what? we can't do that?
that's the real issue. whenever the folks that think like bob get involved the issue is just whisked away, to be distorted in away that benefit those who are public servants.

time for us to grow up a little on our own. mom and dad's way just ain't cuttin it anymore.

The same state that can't manage to print an ID card in a reasonable amount of time? Can you name a single thing the state does that isn't completely and utterly fucked and inept?

Bring your overages in. We will test it. Results will take 6 weeks. Then for no real reason it will take another 3-5 months for you to get your money. Wanna buy something? Fill out this form. In 6 months you can come back and purchase some medicine.

That thing about Pfizer is interesting. Pharma has been working with cannabis. Morinol first, then sativex..

And thanks for entertaining the hypothetical...I'd like to be able to legally sell my overages to somebody too.

Run it like big Pharma? You mean submit to FDA testing, pay taxes (though big pharma does get of that hook pretty well). if WE could run it like gig Pharma, the state would probably let us...
