I made a homemade AC and chiller, give it a look....https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/23285-homemade-c-tank-chiller.html
The bottle isnt floating, its stabalized by the hole that it goes through, one of the 6 "sites." If I had a bigger res, Id would let it float around though ^_^so just like a bottle of ice floating around? HMMMMM very good idea.
So your telling me a 600 hps won't penetrate 2ft plants?if i had the space you are trying to work with i would use the 600watt A/C. you should not have the light more then 12in from plants. this is more then enough light if you only veg for a few nodes. as bigbud said you will lack penatration with a 600 on 2 ft plants. so you want to scrog or do a short veg time. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/114gxLW8fNL._AA160_.jpg you can make this for around 100usd.
Where did you read that from lol.
Anyway look in my gallery, that room was at 85 degree throughout the grow with 2 dwc, and not only that the 2 dwc i had 1 264pump in there each to circulate the water(so that pump puts on more heat). So obviously you feel victim to the water chiller company that probably put it out there that your res temp has to be 70- degree. And i do agree with you that the water in the res will eventually be the same temp as the ambient temperature, but when its nighttime the water cools and when the lights turn on and the room heats up the water temp will take awhile till it get to that temp this is because plastic isn't a heat conductor.
70degree? i think fdd would call this BS!
You know this is a four year old thread, right??I would say i disagree with you and who care what fdd would call.
Water hold more oxygen at 65 degress than it does at 70......
Yes. Depends on skill level. Is yield substantially higher with DWC than soil?
This depends on how large your reservoir is. A 3 gallon DWC bucket might have to be filled every day in late flower. A 5 gallon may need only every few days. An even larger reservoir can go a week or more. But there's more to it than that. Will i need to fill/change the water every day if so how many hours can it go before i have to fill it up with more water?
A substantial quantity per plant per cycle. How much water does it use?
Yes. A flush in DWC is mandatory in my opinion. I recommend using a flushing agent. Can i get rid of that chemical taste.
Advantages:And if you can what are the disadvantages and other advantages with DWC.
You're welcome.Thank you.
Agreed.. I got excited about this thread for a second.. /sighTons of thread necromancers in the house
