Tired of paying for overpriced, underweight herb!!!

So I tend to be a homebody, I pretty much just go from work to home, repeat. Well I started doing some thinking, where I live $100-$120 a quarter is standard. The last sack I picked up my guy charged $120 and it was still very wet, and looked a little light. Well this got me a little upset, I only make $9/hour as is and I'm struggling to pay the rest of my bills. That being said, Its hard to justify spending my hard earned money on something I'm being ripped off on.

Now I'm weighing out all my options, assessing various ways to find mental relief. I think my main advantage is security, I have no significant other and haven't even dated in about a year. I have friends I talk to and hang out with once in awhile. All in all, no one that knows me will even have the slightest hint. My current idea is to build a custom growcab to provide for my own personal needs. If I could get an ounce a month I would be absolutely estatic!

I have little experience growing and have no intention of doing anything other than for personal consumption. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to be getting myself in for, as far as costs, timeline, and most importantly yields. So are my expectations realistic out of a small grow cab?

Sorry can't help ya, I grow waay more then what I need I just hide it around the house, make hash etc.
If you run a cab with decent height why not. I see some can do it in a small cab but I'm not that disciplined to grow 'just enough' in a small cab I would run out

save your cash wisly and go big. cost efficiency is key. the set up is whats costs you dont let the electric bill get you. so try LCD lights use so much less energy. or CFLs very good on cost. now HPS is what will kill your budget depeneding on how many watts and stuff. save a 1,000 and get a CFL for 500-600 and the rest for a fan pots nuts ph scale ect and the rest save for the first and second bill that come. i see tons of hps lights but hear that the cost on those is out there

Yea, grow for yourself...cost for me is about 12 bucks a plant... thats for Bubble gum I paid 50 bucks for 10. soil pots.. you will need lights and stuff... takes 3-4 months from seed to spoon.

Are those in Zimbabwe dollars? Unless you're getting stuff that blows your socks off with 2 hits you're getting ripped I pay that much for an oz. Even if it isn't the greatest weed I get high on what I buy.

Yea I'm definitely going with CFL's, an HPS gets way too hot and uses way too much power. Plus, since this is all going to be inside a growcab, I don't want the risk. Yea, I know, you can get way better results with better lights, but to me its just way not worth it.

I work a legit professional job, and like I said, I'm just tired of going through bullshit. I've done a lot of research and I'm thinking about going with the perpetual grow and either a SOG or a ScROG method. I'm going to be moving into my own place in a few months and I plan to start then. My room mate loves to smoke, but I'd never trust her in a million years to keep her mouth shut, no matter how small. Plus, none of my buddies ever gave me free smoke, so fuck them.

So yea, right now I'm just trying to get an awesome micro set up. Build a nice dresser grow-cab and get everything running smoothly. I am very interested in DrBudLabs set up and the results from his method. Other than that, it will simply provide some level of security as well, the economy is on the verge of collapse. Plus, for me to PAY for an ounce a month, that'd be about $480 a month! That's more than what I'd pay for rent, NO THANKS.

I was given a 1000 watt ballast and socket, I just need to get a bulb. I need more than 400 watts

your HPS plant look amazing. but with the power usage and heat issues, couldn't you get a plant to look like that with CFLs ? or is it mainly a strain? with of course careful consideration to your nutes, water schedule, lighting , air circulation and might be missing more finite details on that note

damnit i dont want to waste power. id start HPS if their wasn't the high energy output i can deal with having more fans. but, im running an energy consumption experiment right now.
