My 1st ever DWC i used my soil nutes....and it worked ok but not as good as nutes that are specifically for hydro. The feeding schedules are different than soil.

As a matter of fact I also used tap water and never checked any PPM. You will have to check pH, but I used those cheap pH kits from the pet store.

Hey BKB ..... KMK.... you guys remember the massive yellowing problem i had with my last grow?

It must be the water im using.. .and i don't ph.... i am getting a ph pen soon... there isn't anywhere around here to get a good PH measuring device. .... .. well ... my 2 week old seedlings have sever yellowing in the very first set of leaves ... after the cotyledon .... i did give them a small bit of nutes when i noticed yellowing .. then i think i burnt then ever so slightly.... I flushed them and they perked right back up....... its not really spreading up the plants... but im always afraid of that creeping yellowing that almost ruined my grow last go around.... any advice guys?

You really need to get dialed in on feeding your plants. I would recommend some cheap 3 part nute lineup and I pH tester. You need to pH your water, nute mix and run off. Also whenever you introduce nutes to a plant always start off 50% lower the recommended dosage. I would rather have a yellow plant then a burnt plant. Its always easier to give alittle more then it is to take away excessive feeding. I hope I am making sense....LOL

Plenty of sense ! what nute line up do you suggest.. im still real noobish on nutes. i struggle threw my grows because of yellowing and miss-diagnose. I gave them one dose of nutes, 1/4 strength .. fish ferts, a tiny bit of MG all purpose and some molasses

If it unsulfured, thats one of your main problems with your plants...its blocking out "N" in your soil. I did a drowning with Unsulferd Molasses and one of the things I learned is that it blocks out "N" and kicks starts the fermentation process before you even chop your plant. I drown my soil grown plants prior to chopping. I would recommend not using the molasses till the last 2-3 weeks of flowering. Now if you are growing Organically than you need a different type of molasses. I think its Brix or something like that.

Guys! That was great info tho! Its hi-brix mollasses that can be used all the way thru.im sure someone will learn from your guys conversation.not like yal were just ramblin!!! Good lookn out tho fellas!

blackstrap is a good organic brand. i believe i is the sodium content that is much lower than the grandma's.

I use Blackstrap on my plants but not till the last 2 to 3 weeks cause it will block the "N" that why i use it in the last 2 to 3 weeks.

It seems to be a trend with mutant on the Jack, I would dump it cause you want STABLE GENETICS for breeding!!!! Yo go on my BKB's NAME THAT STRAIN thread and look at BC99's Power Skunk x Purple Kush. You might want to germ them NOW bro, get a male from them!!!!

Congrats bro, you won by a landslide!!!!!

For those that want to know what I am talking about is I made a cross Power Skunk (F) x Royal Pure Kush (M) and I had a contest for naming my strain and KMK won!!!!
