i fish bass tournaments
and most livewells have a drip/spray system where the water is pumped to the top of the livewell and either sprayed out and it then drops to the rest or it falls out a short distance then returns to the tank.
this is all done for oxygenating the water for the fish to stay alive. so if the water level is correct in the AG and i drips through air before returning to the res it should be getting oxygenated.
with one fish we did not have to run aerator much. with a full limit of 8 fish in a 22 gal tank, we ran it all the time.
i suppose this could be transfer to plants as more plants more air.
