Helpwith my AG

i fish bass tournaments
and most livewells have a drip/spray system where the water is pumped to the top of the livewell and either sprayed out and it then drops to the rest or it falls out a short distance then returns to the tank.

this is all done for oxygenating the water for the fish to stay alive. so if the water level is correct in the AG and i drips through air before returning to the res it should be getting oxygenated.

with one fish we did not have to run aerator much. with a full limit of 8 fish in a 22 gal tank, we ran it all the time.

i suppose this could be transfer to plants as more plants more air.

With it dripping through the air part.... That will happen when your roots are small.. but as they grow bigger and are in the water the drip just runs down the roots .. It does not get any air... DEF add an airstone

i got an air stone.
ran to petco and got a small 6inch set up. although i should have gotten i bigger pump or the 4 inch stone.

Thats good my airstone is 5'' and works fine

I use distilled water only with the pH adjusted to 5.5 for the first week with 1 drop of SuperThrive. 7 days from sprout i start feeding my seedlings 1/4 strength FoxFarm nutes with Liquid Carma and SubCulture with a pH of 5.8 and a ppm of 300. The following week i feed them 1/2 strength nutes with a pH of 5.8 and a ppm of 600. Then the following week i feed them full strength nutes with a pH of 5.8 and a ppm of 1000. Like Tek said less is more with nutes. I have a air pump with a small round air stone in my rez. I check my pH every morning and make sure it is at 5.8. I have my fans blowing on the seedlings and the ventilation is on 24-7. My temps range from 76-84 F lights on and 70-74 F at night. The humidity stays 30-35%. My lights are on a separate timer and are set for a 18/6 and the pumps are on 24 hrs which can be the salad greens setting or the 24 hr super grow setting. The only problem i have had were a few small gold spots on a few leaves from a calcium deficiency due to salts building up. I flushed the plants with some pH adjusted water to 5.8 and some Flora Clean and some 1/4 strength FoxFarm Big Bloom for a day and that cleared it right up. I am starting the large plants with full strength nutes tomorrow. So far i have had good luck using this method, i hope it helps.

If you dont have all your pods filled with plants then the water should drip through the air where there are no plants and gather O2 or whatever....

I added airstones and changed the res water as I stated earlier I think my problem was my water was much to warm, I have seen a few others have the same problem with the AG something to do with the water pump, so I am only using it at as a bubler now the survivors have a little new growth and it looks healthy so far

My rez water is usually pretty warm for the first few weeks untill the plant gets big enough to shade the grow surface....I've never had any problems but maybe its because I use fox farm big bloom which is supposed to promote root health and stuff like that....

Sticky..those look great,. I had a few issues keeping the cat outta my aerogarden, so I started in soil, and I'm gonna experiment with a couple seedling's and try to get them to root in a sponge now, just somethin to play with for me, but if it works , I'll be stoked..

I have had the best luck soaking the seeds for 12 hrs and then germing the seeds in some paper towel and soaked it with 2 tsp of H2O2 and then soaking the rest with distilled water. I put the paper towel in a small ceramic bowel with a lid on it and set it on top of my satellite receiver. The seeds usually sprout with in 24-48 hrs. When the roots get to a 1/4 inch i transfer them into the AG sponges with the domes on. Using this method i have had a 100% success rate with the AG.

I already have a start..just gonna try a few in the sponges, if they take off...yeah.if they don't I'll gps what I have left on state land..and have hella bud in Oct.... I'm patient.
