New grow Lf help.

Hi everyone im new to this site but i love the atmoshpere here. I wanted to take time to discuss a few issues i have. Im in a apartment so my grow op is super ghetto. im running a 600 watt mh Light with a magnetic ballast, and a side florescent for more light penetration. I constantly feed my plants grow big nitrogen but in very small amounts. about 1/4 a teaspoon per gallon every time. My current plants are 1 mango Kush full plant, 5 Lemon Haze autoflower and 4 Silver Haze auto. The autos seem fine, but my main concern is the mango kush plant. Its getting sign of either heat stress or magnesium deficiency. So now that u have a little info i wanted to ask. is 20-30 % humidity bad? because that's what im getting no matter how many things of wet perlite i put in the room it stays at about 20-30 %. Another problem is the temperature. Since i have no vent or place for the hot air to go due to the fact im growing in a small closet with tin foil walls. is 85-90 degrees bad for the plant? And also im looking for advice on how to fix my problems.

Ill upload pics very soon prolly later today but in the mean time plz everyone post what they feel can help me. i appreciate all advice and god bless everyone and Smoke on!

P.S. Im using soil. Fox farm ocean forest mixed with ground up bone meal and sulfur pellets mixxed in the soil. With extra perlite at bottom for drainage.

The temperatures could be lower. Get rid of the tin foil. A clean white surface is better, and it doesn't keep the heat in, and it doesn't burn.
Humidity may be low, but mine have always been fine so someone else could tell you more about that...

got room for a pail of water? since it so warm just put a fan blowing into it , that will raise your humidity.

you are too hot, no suprise with that big a light in a closet. Humidity would rise if you lowered the temperature some how. Is the ballast in the closet too ? Can you just open a window in that room ?

too hot and maybe the tinfoil. crack the door open a little maybe and put a fan there to blow air into the closet. idk just a suggestion.

I USE 3 FANS and an air purifier that filters anything 2microns and larger w/ a u/v button . tin foil isn't very good. poor conductor of heat but it does raise it a little. need reflective mylar= @ home depot roll about $35usd. +tin foil is poor at reflecting. sounds like heat stress rather then mag. defciency. but alot of problems can look the same. but since u said that their is NO REAL AIR CIRCULATION...when using HID's my guess is heat stress.

definitely get the temp down and some ventilation for sure. temp should probably be around 75. and a cheap humidifier will fix your humidity if lowering the heat doesn't help.
and what kind of filtration system do you have for the smell since you're in an apartment?

You have a fan blowing on those girls? Get one. You say full plant, is that like what 2 months veg? If they are less than a month old, get that 600w off. How close are they too the light? I use 1 tsp of epsom salt per gallon of water to help with mag. It wont use it if it doesnt need it. The fans are the only way to pull heat out of that closet, if you cant get one or dont have the room then a 600w was too much beef for not enough space. Airflow will help plants a lot. Ideal temps are between 78-82F. Anything past 86F will stop the photosynthesis process.

The autos can take the heat probably due to their ruderalis genes. I had mine in 100+ degree drought conditions outdoors and they did fine. The heat and dry air is probably getting to that kush, though . You need to take out the aluminum foil, it reflects mainly just heat, and replace with white mylar sheeting. Look into a humidifier for the closet at the local big box, or use a mister spray bottle and mist frequently into the fan's air stream, not directly on the plants. Please post some pics, maybe some dims on the room, etc as I'm curious. Happy growing!

ok for 1 the humidity being that low will cause your plants to transpire to much water to fast, so the will crave the extra k , the heat is to warm you wana get that down to around 78 tops around 72-76 i think is perfect be carefull with that fox farm it can burn easy, get yourself some cal /mg because fox farm lacks it thats probley your problem. stick with and try to grow organic you will like it alot more i promise

the ballast is in the closet also and i took the door off only thing i have is a blanket not covering the whole space so there is plenty of rom for air to escape and refresh.

painting the walls isnt a option atm im moveing out soon so im not gonna need to paint. im going to invest in a air filter for the smell.
