aw shit here we go....... not again. HELP! i cant have ANOTHER PLANT DIE ON ME!

So this is the 2nd clone i have gotten from the club the last one died like a week after i got it, turns out it was sold to me with a mold problem. I definitly should have check the next clone closer when i got it, because as soon as i got it home I notice some mild yellow on the bottom leaf and some pale yellowing on another.

But now, it has gone full blown. I just transplanted it into an air pot in soil, I had it just in its rockwool cube on some hydroton. I have given it a couple light feeding of micro nutriets but the problem has not gone away. I am stumped on wheather this is a deficiency or nute burn. The super yellow look with brown spots makes me think it is a deficiency. I just transplanted it a few days ago so i am hoping once it gets some root room and gets settled in the soil that the problem will go away. But now its not looking likely because the problem has gotten worse and the tips of the upper leaves are starting to yellow. Is it possible some nutrients got settled on the bottom of the rockwool where the root cluster is and it is over fed and i should flush? keep in mind the soil is still moist from the transplant/light feeding i did two days ago.

Strain; grandaddy purple (gdp) x blueberry ( grandaddy blueberry)
AGE; i got it like a week ago from the club
medium; soil/perlite with hydroton on the bottom for drainage
Nutes: X-nutrients grow / micro nutrients + bio grow/ topmax.

so what do you guys think i should do? I should state she has been growing well even though she has been getting sicker.

all of that is stated above. xnutrients micro and grow with a little bio bizz. but it was pretty light. my other seedlings tollerated it fine and i think its pretty hard to overwater rockwool. the plant was only put in soil like 2 days ago. and as stated I noticed the problem a little as soon as I got the clone home.

sounds like nitrogen def. why are you using 2 different grow products. just use one. I started using Xnutes just recently and are working great. keep an eye on your ph.

using the topmax with the xnutrients because it helps macro / micro nutrients get absorbed and has vital micro's that arent as prevalent in the xnutrients. also, the biogrow does something with the microbes in the soil and breaks them down so the plant can get more out of it. i wouldnt have guessed nitrogen deficiency because of the brown spots. what makes you think that? and what is a good way to tell between nitrogen deficiency and nute burn?

could it be the fact when ur plant goes into soil they then av enough feed in the soil for x amount of time and so its possible it is nute burn, i av 3 girls all from the same batch of seeds 2 of them girls can handle there nutes the other one cant and she shows it, so y r the leaves going yellow which can sugest a N def but its young ur looking after it so if it has been over fed then the usuall lockout could of occurd in her hence now she cant uptake the N, this is just guess work like coz unless theres a expert in ur room lookin at them personaly its just not easy to make a diagnosis, in my little time growing i av learnt to make the call myself after doin what ur doin first n gettin peeps opinions etc,, put it all together n come up with a diagnosis ! easier sed than done i no man, soilder on keep ph to that magic number 6.5maybe lay off the feed as its a decent size she may recover well ? or u could repot her to a bigger pot in a good soil water with plain and see how it pans out, u cud flush her n see if that helps, but me i would plain water n repot ! good look in what ever u do man,, ope it works out for ya ! peace !

ps if u do repot then u no she will get fed from the new soil which inturn may help leach any salt build up if any at least this way she as her best chances of survival coz if u add more nutes u could just be making matters worse !

your moving from 2 diff mediums for one. and both had diff pH needs and which i dont see what pH you used on either medium. and i see it say you have fed mico...what about the rest of the plants food needs. i see your list of other foods there but all it says you fed was a couple with micro??
its hundry big time. need to figure now if its pH or your not feeding enough

need to know pH of feeds and water and what food ec your at

over feed is a pH issue. plants cant eat more than they need,.so you cant over feed them. been a myth on forums for years. over feeding makes pH drop out thus the plant cant feed and shows burns., its actualy defficient with a burn from over eating as they cant over eat

Everytime i try feeding a plant (in soil) during its first month I get problems like this. Seems to me that migth be what your dealing with here. Soil and plain water contains more than enugh nutrients during its first month after beeing a seedling.

Looks like it's just a fresh cutting, I think it just needs some ROOTS to grow. Keep it moist and DON'T FEED IT for at least a couple weeks or until it starts looking stronger. Having a clone go a bit yellow or drop a leaf or 2 is normal.

cloning a sick plant wont help. new cuts will struggle...if they even make it. to be honest theres not enough info to diagnose correctly

And you can overfeed, what are you? A total noob? Ever heard of nutrient burn? Youre an idiot, please stop giving advice.

ya..we all need to pH ..and organics. i know alot say you dont need it but they dont get how food and uptakes work then. no son i been doin this for about 30 years and have worked makin nuted for a world wide nute co. its fact. not forum guess work, but thx to those that dont pH and need to buy mo4re food and use more than is needed. keep the co rich.
you ever heard of suberin...if a plant dosent need an ellement it canbt be foreced in to it. so how does food burn the leaf then. burns are deff`s.

id rather be an idiot with my degrees in this topic than have a personality like yours

maybe ill clear it up a bt. i dont mean its ok to feed any amounts. nor do i mean it wont do any type of damage. but the food we over feed with dose not actualy go in the plant to cause the burns. the plant has its own systems to prevent this. is no diff then when we increase our food mix. we also get a lower pH in most cases as we do this increase. smae thing happens withoin the soil..or any medium. if there is to much food and isnt wtered enough each time...yes the pH will keep dropping out and cause the burns. but its because the plant is hungry again and the food in the soil or medium is out of pH range for uptake so it begins to burn. that is a deff.,
kinda like cup half full or half empty. look at it how ever you want
