I'm new, obviously and randomly came with the idea to grow my own personal use plants. I put seeds in between 6 papertowels light or no light? I keep reading contradicting information!!!! Please help!

Stick the paper towel in a sandwich baggie or tupperware container on top of the computer monitor or in a drawer somewhere.

Germinating the seeds isn't very complicated. You can do it many different ways and they'll most likely come out fine. You may see signs of germination in a day or two. Sometimes it takes longer.

no light! light = bad... it takes a while sometimes. some of mine took 5 days to crack. remember once the taproot comes out they go into your medium (taproot down) and under low stregnth light until they get a good grip on life. then crank the lights water when dry and enjoy the experience of being self sufficient.

Eh I grew mine to day 18ish on a single 2700 lumen CFL in red spectrum lol.

heh thats ok when they are first sprouting but the will stretch looking for light. i started my seedlings under 2 2500k (45w)lights and one 3500k(30w). i used it for a week! now i've got 4 (45w) 5500k and one 150w 6500k full spectrum. it puts out some serious light for my space and has worked great. lol

You'll spend money on it still to get it :) check out my topping post or fdd2blk's topless ladies You can grow them super bushy so you can pull more from less plants.. and less plants = less lighting requirements.

Its definately not going to be more than 3 plants so it shouldn't be tooo bad. And about spending money. Doesn't it still cost more to grow your own?

nope once you get some mothers going it is cheep. all u pay for is nutes and lighting which is way less than buying a stash. but it can get expensive in the begining.
