Do People Pass GDP Off As God Bud?

i heard a nasty rumor. i heard God Bud is a lot like Grand Daddy Purps. so close that a lot of people pass it off ass it so they can get more money. how true is that? i just picked up a batch of what was called Grand Daddy Purps, but it wasn't very purple. only when you broke it up, it has purple calyxes, smells like GDP, kinda tastes like GDP. i found one seed in my bag, LUCKY ME!!! i germ'd it and it popped. so far so good. i will have to wait and see what sex it is before i decide what i am going to do with it. i have a Blackberry Kush plant from bag seed that is in her 6th month of life!! i have pics of some nugs i can post up. ill get to that this afternoon. but is this true? is God Bud being passed off as Grand Daddy Purps? who should i believe? :joint:

If it smells like GDP, it's GDP, I haven't encountered any other bud scent like it.
GDP also has a pretty distinctive taste too, but not completely different from other Urkle relatives.
The purple coloring can be dependent on temperature and other factors, so sometimes it shines through more then others.
So you got some GDP there fella, just not the most purplest batch around, so hold your head up high none the less.

oh no no NO!!! not at all. thing is i have a batch of what was told to me was GDP. i found a seed and im growing it. it would be very helpful if what i heard is true. the dude who told me supposedly ran a dispensary in Cali, so i kinda take his word for it. but my bro dude is usually on point when it comes to his selections. im not complaining at all about BC God Bud, not in the slightest. if its the Grand Daddy Purps impostor bud that is fine with me, but when the time come sot smoke the plant im growing i would really like to be on point.

that is what i was kind of thinking, but was told from a very good source that the God Bud has the same characteristics. i need to hear some more responses first...

Never heard of this and I've never seen GB in person only pics but I have grown gdp a few times and some of the phenos didn't come out purple at all even under cold temps. Like said above also gdp has its very own distinctive smell and taste. So im sure people pass buds with other names all the time but doubt that they are similar.

well i feel as if it is a GDP, so are all the friends of mine. but its hard to disagree with this dude about it. i know that flavor, i know that smell when you break it up. i know why and how buds change purple and why some don't. i just am all headfucked now because someone got the notion in my mind that it "could be". i just hope the seed i have is a fem. that is about all i care about at this moment. its good bud and im about 90% sure its GDP. but since he told me this, i figure i find out what the census is.

ahhh man!!! i have me some right now!!! growing and smokin' !! im still puzzled why this dude would tell me that shit though. maybe he was jealous. im starting to think he doesn't have the high standards i thought he had when i first met him. im starting to think he may be an impostor or someone who has a friend that is in the loop, and he tries to act like hes in the loop, but hes really not. or something, i can't put my finger on it. maybe where he is from they do that, im also starting to think he is not from around here. its kinda wak in a way. i guess once i get her growing i can post pics and let people give me some opinions on it.
