Stop Bluffing, Israel

So why would Iraq allow Israel to bomb Iran? Why try to refuel in hostile airspace?

How do you get the impression that Israel can just "do it"? It makes no sense.
I don't think "Iraq" has a say. The US has a say and might try to use iraq as a reason, but Israel could fly over if they want unless we prevent it- Israel would run over Iraq if they wanted to

They could do so with a facade of neutrality don't you think? They are flying thru their airspace and all ya know, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, all that. However, people have gotten away with dumber things. :)

Thats what i'm saying- were in charge of Iraq, even if we have officially turned over controll, were running iraq and anything they have or do or don't do
LOL I wasn't in support either way. I'm just saying that we are their biggest ally, we do hate Iran, but them flying thru Iraq on a bombing mission with out our approval would put everybody in a bad situation and might not fully be appreciated.

It would be totally obvious where the planes came from...I don't think that there would be anyone convinced of "neutrality" when one country allows another to fly over its airspace to bomb a third country...

Iran is irrational, not totally fucking stupid.

The neutrality and argument for ignorance is that they weren't going to bomb the planes out of the air, and they weren't in control of the planes actions to bomb the third country. The argument for ignorance is a well known logical fallacy, yes, but like I said, people have gotten a way for dumber things.

Im just saying its the permission of the US not Iraq that would matter, we controll Iraq and anything they have is planes we gave them or allowed them to get and all there people trained by us

iran has an in house military industrial complex shrouded in mystery. they make their own tanks, jets, and rockets.

they have unmanned drones and they have North Korea as an ally (north korea manufactures long range rockets, not intercontinental as of yet but def. capable of reaching israel from Iran).....

there's no doubt israel and the US can crush the Iranian military, not before there's some serious damage to the region....
Yeah....but why should we attack them? We have long range weaponry too, as well as a history of unstable aggressiveness, should they attack us because of that?

Why must we be imperial?

Israel has never signed a formal agreement of alliance with any nation, ever, this includes the United States of America.
That's the point...no formal alliances, yet everyone thinks that the US/Israel relationship is the only one Israel has, which is entirely false.

Israel has strong ties with countries like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia...all allowing some sort of peace for Israel. If the US was the only relationship the Israeli's had, they would have ceased to exist a long time ago.

Well, what I was speaking about was a mutual agreement between Izzy and any other nation that states that if either country goes to war that the other will join in, Izzy always avoids this type of arrangement, the reasons they avoid such an arrangement are many, but primarily it is because their forces are very small in number, and as such are not expendable beyond the defense of the mothership. Chances are good that Izzy will never engage in any full fledged ground war with any nation that doesn't border them. Now granted, Izzy may occasionally send some Mossad agents or special forces types into war zones that are away, but those contingents will almost always be very limited in numbers.

I agree. :) Very clear logic. Should have just said so from the beginning. ;)

They fought Syria for the Golan Heights, it was the Sinai that Israel ganked from Egypt.;-) hehe! Yes they have peace agreements with all of those countries but I wouldn't characterize them as "strong ties".:joint:

They also got Jerusalem and the West Bank from Jordan. All of these land acquistions occurred as a result of the 6 Day War.
