HI,
Often called green beans or string beans, the common garden bean can be both stringless and colors other than green. But it’s the green bean that everyone recognizes as one of the most frequently prepared vegetables.Green bean plants are either pole varieties or bush. Most varieties are green, but you’ll also find purple, red, yellow and streaked varieties. These are some varieties.

I grow pole beans in my garden...i usually don't harvest them quick enough so they get large and stringy on me...so wtf kind of beans are we talking about? :D

Beans, beans are good for your heart. The more you eat the more you fart. The more you fart the better you feel. So eat some beans with every meal.

The pack should give you a harvest date. Beans are bush green beans (which it most likely is) mature fast 65-90 days, depending on variety and environment.

yeah well I don't want to overstate the obvious but you're a little late to the party No? Plant them in the spring and pull them out earlier rather than later and you will have a bountiful feast of fresh green beens all summer. They get tougher as the plant matures and you will end up fighting mildew
