rate my shopping list (but ONLY if you like strains that get you high)

i've been wanting to test some new stuff to see if i can find anything trippier (or at least tastier) than otherwise potent haze x skunk by high quality seeds not only for my own fun & games, but to share the info with everyone here and COMPARE everything to give you an idea of each strain's personality, strengths & weaknesses.

these are the strains i'm either getting, or already have i'm really eager to test drive & report on with the highest (pun intended) priority being finding trippier strains, but some of these will be nice on the euphoria and/or motivational front. i also decided to try a couple off the radar strains & breeders for variety's sake too.

Jack's Cleaner 2 (Jack's Cleaner x Jack the Ripper) TGA Subcool supposed to be trippy
Jilly Bean - TGA Subcool stoney, but seriously euphoric
Amnezia Haze (super silver haze x cambodian) - Rokerij Seeds this sounds awesome in theory at least
Columbian Gold (25% indica) -World of Seeds Landraces will this be the reunion i've waited 25 years for or as disappointing as stoney skunk #1?
Auto Jack (lowryder x cinnamon girl pheno jack herer) - Female Seeds X-Line
Thai Fantasy (Super Thai x Mazar) - Kannabia Seeds it doesn't sound trippy though
Sweet Haze (Skunk X Haze X Cannalopehaze) - DNA Genetics might be better than haze skunk
Super Lemon Haze (Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze) -Green House Seeds i expect this to be inferior to haze skunk, but at least taste better maybe
Urban Poison (25% NL#5) - Sativa Seeds
C99 x A11 - Joey Weed get 'em while you can! hemp depot hasn't heard from joey weed in a loing time and doesn't expect to see ANYTHING from him any time soon. his separate C99s & A11s are already extinct
Eldorado (pure Oaxican) - Sativa Seeds sounds more euphoric than trippy
Laughing Buddha - Barney's Farm

Jack 33 - CH9 Seeds which is supposed to be mildly trippy

any of that gear sound like something you're interested in? i'm hoping to be able to pull two harvests off even though a lot of those strains are in the 12 week club. i'll only be testing whatever phenos i get from these too as i'll only be growing a couple of each if that. i'll also be growing my top three current favorites, haze skunk, super cali haze & 8 miles high.

Jack's Cleaner 2 (Jack's Cleaner x Jack the Ripper) - One of my favorites.
Jilly Bean - In my top 10 best i've grown.
Amnezia Haze (super silver haze x cambodian) - i love amnesia, takes too long for me to grow.
Columbian Gold (25% indica) - Good luck lol. everyone wants this stuff, but its hard to get the right pheno.
Auto Jack (lowryder x cinnamon girl pheno jack herer) - Could have alot of promis imo.
Thai Fantasy (Super Thai x Mazar) - thai crossed with a super indica? maybe something good.
Sweet Haze (Skunk X Haze X Cannalopehaze) - great stuff from dna in the past, probably really good. their chocolope was amazing
Super Lemon Haze (Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze) - i got a free clone that hermied on me, so be careful with yours.
Urban Poison (25% NL#5) - Really good stuff when i grew it 2 years ago, nirvana used to be good, nowadays, not so much.
C99 x A11 - sounds badass.
Eldorado (pure Oaxican) - maybe better than their full moon, which i liked.
Laughing Buddha - i would

Jack 33 - CH9- ch9 can hermie on you with moderate stress from what ive read.

some picks from me

Delta 9 labs- Brainstorm haze- thai cross that flowers in 10-12 weeks with no indica presence in it's high. unlike brainstorm haze x G13 haze.
TGA Subcool- Pandora's box: No ceiling on this high, just keeps going till you stop going lol. smells like lemon lime sour patch candy.
TGA Subcool- Jack the ripper: lemony and woody flavor, trippy hectic high, get used to hearing your inner monologue and even having conversations with it.

yeah, i'm not that enthused about 25% indica polluting columbian gold and only want to give it a test drive. i KNOW i'll get kickass smoke out of haze skunk & 8 miles high for certain and i liked joey weed's pure C99 fine enough for activities. i'm not counting on any strain to be "da bomb", but i still think a couple of them should prove at least decent. i'm buying this strain, in part, to "take one for the team" so to speak if it sucks. it's about the closest to real i think is out there other than destroyer which isn't all that from what i've heard. SOMEONE'S gotta test it. as real gold was my 1st love, it oughta be me. i know how it's SUPPOSED to smoke.

honestly, i'm not particularly enthusiastic about jilly bean as it just sounds too stoney to me along the lines of blueberry, & skunk #1 but maybe with more euphoria, but i figured i'd at least give it a chance, but if it starts stinking my room up, i'm cutting it down. that goes for ANY strain. funk is totally unnecessary and for me downright annoying. it's like an afghani taunt to me. LOL i would buy jack the ripper right quick if it weren't a celebration of serial killers. i have to decline that one on principle along what i REALLY would like to smoke, sannies' killing fields. man those names piss me off!

i was expecting the lemon haze to suck, but it's free as are CH9 beans this month at attitude. i take UFOs as fun little treats not to be taken seriously, but i loved the buzz if not the flavor of diesel onyx, was surprised by how neutral a lemon skunk was and was short strokin' like a mofo to super cali haze. that one proved to be a keeper. the buzz isn't trippy, but it's totally fun and that delicious AUTHENTIC grape flavor spanks the daylights out of blueberry. it's a very classy strain and what my handle's all about.

i'll be watching ALL of the fems for hermies, but so far, had none with any of the UFOs i tested but DID get them in my full moon regulars. i'm bummed to hear that nirvana is slipping. maybe the bad reviews for their fems & autos was the 1st sign they're losing ground. i've heard their C99 is schwaggy.

as to the amnesia haze, it's OK if that one takes it's time. i'm going to have a variety of gear and will be attacking the cinderella apollos first as well as seeing if i can get my C99 f2s to pop with a heating mat this time. i want to have a lot of gear growing so i'll have junk to pick at while i wait forever for a harvest. that's one of the reason i like letting a male spray everything... so i have some banzai leaf trim under my shop lights. as much as i love haze skunk, super silver haze is tripper than skunk (just euphoria & stone) and if it's crossed with a decent cambodian, THAT should be trippier than the hazes i've tried AND unlike haze skunks, the IBL is the mom so that should be interesting. the only questions are how good were the parents and how good is the breeder? i'm just too curious to not test that one after getting NADA out of my delta 9 labs' mekon haze (2x cambodians). i'm not eager to buy from them again after that.

i like the report on pandora's box. that sounds interesting. thanks for that tip. we'll see how i react to TGA's gear with the two extremes i'll be testing.

i have low expectations on the urban poison and even pure isn't my favorite, but i like the idea of trying a variety of gear and i've never smoked anything with NL#5 yet, so if nothing else, testing that will give me an idea what NL hazes are like. besides, i already have that gear. if memory serves me right, it was pretty compact compared to 8 miles high. i'd planned on cloning both, but didn't read up on it again and screwed my nodes up. i wish it didn't take so freakin' long to preflower! i could get a lot of quick smoke off a bunch of clones. it sucks not having a connection.

i think eldorado is supposed to be more euphoric than trippy, but i'm sure it's way easier to do indoors. full moon is one uppity high maintenance bitch indoors, but to me, she'd be worth the trouble if i had a head stash because trippy along with that delicious tutti fruity is SICK! i already love grapey, but more clear headed super cali haze, but highland thai is to that as SCH is to overrated blueberry by my standards.

thanks for all the feedback. i still think "the worst" of this collection (probably jilly bean for me because couchlock annoys me to no end) is still going to be better than east coast afghani street beasters any day and at least a couple should be exceptional. based in TGA's rep, i think cleaner's likely to be the keeper of the bunch, but haze skunk is not shabby by any stretch.

I smoked Rokerij strains at their coffeeshop on numerous occasions due to its proximity to the Amsterdam train station. Every time, I was disappointed. That is why, I do not recommend Rokerij Seeds. If I was in your place, I would go with the two TGA strains, the C99xA11, and either Sweet Haze or Super Lemon Haze. I grew several SLH plants, and the smoke was good, especially from the yellow sativa pheno.

well, it's too late now, i've already ordered a couple fems. i did my research on it and the two reports i found on that bank were favorable. oh well. this is as much about exploring new gear and sharing the results with the rest of the class as it is growing for head stash. even if their amnesia haze doesn't live up to it's potential, i still bet it beats the crap out of stony street beaster afghanicraps. besides, if you've been to smoke shops, you're way more jaded than i am. i've only smoked a few superior strains starting out with real columbian gold in the mid 80s and most recently, not as trippy, but very nice haze skunk grown indoors, so i haven't smoked real thai, malawi gold, cambodian & a few dozen hazes to compare against.

more than anything, i just despise getting stoned. i'm happier smoking decent mexican brick than that and i'd expect ANY strain that's supposed to get you high to at least be as good as brick. i'll let ya know how it turns out when i get there regardless and have many other plan Bs in the wings.

i'm going to have EVERYTHING in that list to test. believe me, i know how hard it is to find info on strains that sound good on paper, so i want to do some real street reporting on that kinda gear unless someone else already has & knows it sucks like i'm expecting the greenhouse freebie to, but hey, it's free.

i think i won't like jilly bean. i hate stoney, even if it is euphoric, and i still think that romulan in her is going to stink too much and get her cut down anyways, but i'm going to give her a try just so i have something to say about it from my perspective of hating ANYTHING to do with indicas. if it doesn't reek though, i'll finish it just to have SOMETHING stoney around for anyone that likes that kinda buzz and maybe even low odor & hopefully more energetic C99 x A11 will improve on it.

Get either Royal Queen amnesia haze or Soma Amnesia Haze. Those are the legit Amnesia Haze's, Rokerij can't compare.

i'm not interested in royal queen's amnesia haze. it can get stony & that's the absolute last thing i want in any strain i smoke. if rokerij's sucks, oh well. it sounded good in theory being 50% cambodian and from a female at that. if nothing else, i'll be able to steer others away from it. it's too late to change my mind now.

i KNOW i'll be happy with the 8 miles high & haze skunk's i already have as well as the super cali i'll be getting. we'll see if jack's cleaner or one of the others becomes my new favorite.

hey Hazey, nice shopping list to be sure. i've heard great things about the laughing buddha, and some one else suggested Pandoras Box which while i never tried it, i have to admit its on my shortlist of things to get,

another one you might wanna look into is Super Silver Haze by Mr Nice Seeds.

you know, i'd rather do jack herer than super silver haze. they're both made up of the exact same strains only with the mom being the indica in SSH and whatever in jack making that one even hazier. the further you get from indica, the better to me. that's why i really like the sound of FAKE amnesia haze (SSH x cambodian... or are the OTHER versions the real fakes?). it theoretically cuts SSH's indica in half.

regardless, if none of these turn out spectacular, i'm still happy as a clam with high quality seeds' haze x skunk. i'd bet a nickel that's better than super silver which can get stony. you know, i had a bud i was going to test, but ended up giving it away. DOH!

ah, good old Haze x Skunk...I smoked it regularly at one time..it was available as Super Haze at a coffeeshop I used to frequent. At the time it was my favorite strain...since the coffeeshop closed, I never found any Haze Skunk that could be compared...perhaps I'll grow it some day...got a Dutch Passion Super Haze bean laying around somewhere...

TGA subcool's jack the ripper is supposed top be nice. i'll be testing that crossed with his jack's cleaner as jack's cleaner 2 & report on t hat along with a few other strains.

when i get around to it, i want to try sativa seeds' haze #1 as i bet it's really just nirvana's H19 skunk re-branded like a few other sativa doms like eldorado. the H19 skunks i popped looked even more IBL than high quality seeds' version making me think that maybe it either gets rid of that little bit of lead eye in HQS, it might be trippier or it might taste even better. either way, NOTHING i've bought in 25 years compares. it's good medicine in my book.
