looks like you planted it in mulch + mud....I hope you don't expect that to do much...In my honest opinion...its going to die...the soil doesn't drain...its going to rot the roots and its just going to die...your best friend is a cheap bag of potting mix + perlite...make the soil light and airy...

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm being truthful here.

Go check out regular gardening forums. You'll get more truthful unbiased information on horticulture there than you will on any mj forum.
Just be smart and don't mention mj.

Granted, here, if the right person(s) respond to your post you'll get great info.
Unfortunately for every two or three knowledgeable people here, there's 100 very confused people that will insist they're correct.
(sorry to put it that way riu people, but you know I'm right.)
For the beginner it can be difficult to know the good info from the bad, especially if a more advanced grower hasn't joined the thread.

Anyway, be sure to read, read, and read some more.

That's my advise.

edit: ^^ those two got in before me. Good advice from both, but I'd go for potting SOIL, not a potting mix, until you've got a few grows under your belt.

The soil is miracle grow organic choice garden soil( not mulch and mud)do you think this soil is suitable ?..and I'm not sure what kind of case it is I found it in a old storage shed

The soil is miracle grow organic choice garden soil(
lot's of people use it, there's no problems with yer grow so just lighten up for now.
Overwatering is what kills more plants than any other cause, and being organic you don't need to feed them for quite some time.

MGOC is good stuff. In the pics it looks like something different.
It also looks water saturated. Is it?
Do you have drain holes on the bottom of the cup?

I'll help walk you through some things, but I bounce around to many threads. It's easier if you contact me through PM's.

I would use an organic soil that is low in nutrient content, and mixed with perlite so that it has plenty of oxygen in it.

wht i did for nice drainage is i poked 4 holes and have one cup inside the other but with a spacer in-between the cups, like i cut the very top of a water bottle and just used tht. it works quite well not letting the water to get stagnant

im also growing in mg organics and used 3 parts mgoc with 1 part mg perlite, just started nutes several weeks later. the soil maybe too strong for seedlings though but good for more mature plants. i stunted a seedling with that soil, looks like its 7 days old but its 20 days

Could I see a pic of it? Would like to see the stunted growth.

I had just sprayed it with water when I took that pic..when I watered it today I watered enough for a little water to drain out of the holes in the bottom of the cup..I hope this soil doesn't stunt its growth..how many weeks do yall think I should wait to start the 12/12 light cycle with such a small space

in a computer case i dont think will work, those are for sog or seedlings or clones you will need more room unless you plan on not transplanting out of party cup and getting a 2 gram yield. for now your good
