Hey Pet- I'm glad you are not too proud to show pics and talk about the issues you have on occasion, to be honest, I think i learn more from other people's mistakes than reading about how everything is doing dandy... Your posts have defininitely helped me dodge a few issues before they even happened... I'm following right along with you man, got my fingers crossed it all works out... Don't use DE, I recommend this because of the Dr's I've heard speak about bio-accumulation and the blood brain barrier, basically part of DE is aluminum, the cananbis will absorb some of this, when you inhale it, you will start bio-accmulating it, once it's in your blood stream it can go straight into your brain and is linked to autism. This is why I've tried to avoid it, my research says you should go for potassium silicate, your plants love the silica and they can always use a little extra P especially in flowering, though you want to use something else, as you'd just be wasting silica at that point. They make sodium silicate but who wants to raise their salts with a one sided benefit.

I think he was planning on ingesting it himself. lol... I've seen some possible heath benefits from DE powder, but I am not yet convinced it is healthy for human ingestion. It certainly is not good for inhalation. I'm curious how it goes though, keep us posted PF.

It isn't that aluminum is deadly in and of its self, who knows it may bind internally and become harmless in the configuration it ends up in, I just don't like being the ginny pig without knowing it.

Not to hijack, but you should google mist cooling, it might help you guys in HPA with some issues, I tried to look at this issue from a supply side problem, and it acquired to me that all the equipment one would need for a professionally sealed and rated for pressure version of this would be in the misting industry, and other than the nutrients in the mist stream being a potential issue which could be resolved by screening/filtering and citrate added to solution this seems like a lot less of a hassle than constructing so many components, I may be wrong, hope someone knows either way.

Hey guys, for some reason I haven't been getting email updates to my own thread. lol Now I know why. This is a Request thread, not a grow thread.

I have been taking DE internally for ~ 2 months now. I can tell you it works fantastic, virtually preventing muscle pain common when I do lots of yard work. It also gives me more energy throughout the day taking 1 tsp-1 TBS/day. One of the things they talk about is skin tone, well my chicken neck has reduced >50%.

As to using it on plants, well you use a Duster, not very much DE gets on the plant, plus you can wash it and the dead bugs off.

They use DE internally because it contains Zeolites, which are aluminum bonded, rocks, with microscopic holes capable of binding to radioactive, and toxic heavy metals, which you then excrete.

The blood brain barrier is the thinnest on a male, not a female. Men are the most at risk for DE poisoning to the brain, not even through contact, but inhalation.

For this reason, I switched to cellulose based media in my pool filter, never going back to DE period, food grade or otherwise, it's horrible to work with, and more hassle than it's worth.

Really that's half the reason I'm going aero is for the easy of use, people say it's so complicated... it isn't, it's very simple, it's just easier to mess up big, in a short time frame, but compared to any other system... no pretty simple.

Been taking it daily for months now. Very positive effects
